Multi-Use Hammer Device and Method
A slide and pull hammer device includes three major components, namely, a guide sleeve, a drive bar and an impact head. The drive bar is inserted within the guide sleeve. The impact head is secured within the distal end of the guide sleeve, and has a portion which protrudes beyond the guide sleeve distal end. The drive bar is operable to impact both a distal end and a proximal end of the guide sleeve to apply force to objects in at least two opposite force directions. One force applied by the device includes a hammering or compression force, and another force applied by the device includes a tension or withdrawing force.
STRIKING TOOL
A striking tool includes an elongated handle having a first end and a second end. The head is attached to or formed integrally with the first end of the handle and defines a striking portion, a claw portion, and a body portion therebetween. The striking tool may have slots, notches, and/or cavities configured to engage fasteners or other objects for applying torsion thereto. A striking member may be removably attached to the striking portion of the head, which may define a nail puller. Attachments, such as an axe head, may be removably attachable to the head of the striking tool.

Hammer With Improved Striking Face
A hand tool may include a head having a bell and a face for delivering an impact at a front end of the head. The hand tool may also include a handle operably coupled to the head and extending linearly away from the head along an axis. The bell may be perimeter weighted such that a void space is disposed within the bell rearward of the face and spaced apart from peripheral edges of the bell and the face.

Hammer head with interference fit
A dead blow hammer head with end caps coupled to a central body through an interference fit. The ends of the body can be flared axially and radially outward and interference fit with the recesses to maximize the surface area overlap between the ends of the body and the recesses. By maximizing the surface area overlap, stress concentrations and failure are reduced. The hammer head can also include a shot or other mass that is unobstructed by screws or pins due to the interference fit of the hammer head components. The interference fit can become stronger during use with each impact further solidifying the surface area overlap between the ends and central portion of the hammer head.

BRAKE IMPACT TOOL
A tool for impacting a frozen brake component includes an outer guide tube, an impact bar which slides within the outer guide tube and has an impact tip, which is retracted in the outer guide tube when the impact bar is retracted, and which extends beyond the guide tube when the impact bar is extended. The impact bar and the outer guide tube are curved identically and sufficiently to allow the far end of the impact bar to impact a brake component when the tool is inserted in a wheel opening.

Adjustable weight striking device
Adjustable weight striking device can be selectively loaded with weighting material to temporarily increase striking force during use and unloaded to reduce weight while carrying. The tool has body made of low density material and working end for striking tool, handle extending from the body made of low density material, striking tool at working end, and apparatus for holding weighting material adjacent to the body. The weight holding apparatus can be platform with straps or other securing feature for temporarily holding weighting material and/or an interior chamber within the body for receiving weighting material. Weighting material can be sand, water, dirt, gravel, rock, or metal and can temporarily increase the weight of the striking tool by 50%, 100%, 200% 250%, 300%, 400%, 500% or more depending on volume and/or density of weighting material as compared to striking device.
