Impact tool
It is an object of the invention to provide an impact tool having a rational mechanism in an idling state. According to the representative invention, in an idling state defined as a state in which a tool accessory 119 is not pressed against a workpiece and an impact bolt 145 transmits a striking force to the tool accessory 119, the tool accessory retainer 510 moves with respect to a tool accessory holder 117 by movement of the tool accessory 119 in the longitudinal direction, so that the striking force is cushioned.
ORTHOPEDIC ADAPTER FOR AN ELECTRIC IMPACTING TOOL
An electrically driven orthopedic impactor may include an adapter for interfacing between the orthopedic impactor and a surgical implement. The adapter may have a first surface that transmits a forward impact energy and a second surface that transmits a reverse impact energy. The adapter can connect to the surgical implement and to the orthopedic impactor without the use of external tools. The adapter may connect to the orthopedic impactor via a pushing motion and may disconnect from the orthopedic impactor via a reciprocal sleeve. A sensor can communicate a spatial orientation of the adapter with respect to at least one reference point that is not located on the adapter or the orthopedic impactor. A communication device may transmit information to the orthopedic impactor related to frequency or impact energy settings based on a type of surgical implement attached to the adapter.
Universal quick-change adapter
A universal adapter to facilitate the easy and efficient of exchange of needle scaler and chisel accessories associated with an air tool receiver/coupler, the adapter including a sleeve with a spring and a spacer, an adapter carrying an O-ring, and an anvil member in contact with the base of a plurality of needles is disclosed herein.
HAMMER DRILL ADAPTORS AND METHODS OF USE
A hammer drill adapter for driving a drive cleat to join opposed ends of a duct comprising: a first portion generally aligned in a plane; a shaft portion having an elongate axis generally parallel to said plane; the first portion fixed to the shaft portion; an entry surface at a distal end of the first portion; a capture cavity extending through the entry surface; the capture cavity defined proximally by a rear surface and by an opposed lower and upper capture surfaces; the capture cavity also laterally defined by an opposed first capture surface and a second capture surface; the capture cavity sized to house a trailing end portion of a drive cleat; and wherein the shaft portion comprises a connection portion at a proximal end of said shaft portion for fixation within a hammer drill chuck. Also disclosed are methods for use to advance a drive cleat.
Setting tool and method for percussively driving an anchor rod into a borehole
A setting tool used in a method for percussively driving an anchor rod into a borehole in a substrate has a drive-side end and, in an opposite tool direction, an end facing away from the drive. The setting tool has a tool adapter that forms the drive-side end and is arranged to interact with a driven impact tool. The end facing away from the drive is formed by a receiving element that has a recess arranged to receive part of an anchor rod. The tool adapter and the receiving element are coupled together by a coupling element such that an impact force introduced via the tool adapter is transmitted to an anchor rod arranged in the recess of the receiving element. The coupling element, in particular a coil spring, is arranged to allow for a displacement of at least part of the receiving element transversely to the tool direction.
SURGICAL IMPACTING TOOL INTERFACES
Various exemplary surgical impacting tool interfaces and methods of using surgical impacting tool interfaces are provided. In general, a surgical impacting tool includes a locking assembly configured to releasably attach to an adapter. In response to engagement with the adapter, the locking assembly is configured to move from an unlocked configuration, in which the adapter is not releasably attached to the surgical impacting tool (nor is any other adapter releasably attached to the surgical impacting tool via the locking assembly), to a locked configuration, in which the adapter is releasably attached to the surgical impacting tool via the locking assembly. The locking assembly is configured to receive the adapter in a longitudinal direction along a longitudinal axis defined by the locking assembly and to automatically lock the adapter to the surgical impacting tool.
SHADOWLESS LIGHTING DESIGN FOR A POWER TOOL
A rotary hammer includes a housing including a motor housing and a secondary housing. The rotary hammer includes an output device configured to provide a rotational output, an axial hammering output, or both the rotational output and the axial hammering output. The rotary hammer also includes a transmission mechanism situated within the secondary housing. The rotary hammer also includes a light holder with a plurality of light sources distributed around an output axis of the rotary hammer. The light holder includes a ring portion mounted to a front surface of the secondary housing. The light holder also includes an extending arm that extends downward and away from the ring portion in a channel of the secondary housing. The rotary hammer includes lighting power wires that are located within the channel and that are covered by the extending arm.
TOOL FOR HAMMER UNION
A tool for tightening and loosening a pipe fitting, comprising a cup-shaped tool head having an opening for receiving a pipe and a shaft attached to and extending from the tool head. The tool head has an interior surface adapted for a pipe fitting such that the pipe fitting may rotate with respect to the tool head. The shaft is shaped to receive a pneumatic hammer. The pneumatic hammer has a hammer head, and the hammer head in operation extends into the interior of the tool head to act on a wing of the pipe fitting.
Hydraulic rotator converter for a hydraulic impact hammer and method
A hydraulic impact hammer having a hammer housing and a hydraulic piston. The hammer housing has means for attaching a hydraulic rotator converter which has a hydraulic rotator for rotating a drill bit for drilling holes on a surface while the drill bit receives pounding action from the piston. The drill bit has surface portions dimensioned to mate with bushing assembles and a cutout region to loosely engage with the locking mechanism in the hammer housing. After the holes are drilled, the converter is released from the hammer housing so as to allow a hammer tool with a larger diameter to be used for pounding over the holes. The hammer tool also has surface portions dimensioned to mate with the bushing assembles and a cutout region to engage with the locking mechanism so that the hammer tool can receive pounding action from the piston for pounding over the holes.
Hydraulic rotator converter for a hydraulic impact hammer and method
A hydraulic rotator converter for attachment to a hydraulic impact hammer having a hammer housing and a hydraulic piston. The converter has mounting brackets, a rotator housing, posts attached to the rotator housing and attachable to the mounting brackets, a hydraulic rotator assembly including a hydraulic rotator, a rotator wheel driven by the hydraulic rotator, and a rotator plate connected to the rotator wheel, the rotator plate having a central cutout region formed therein, and a rotator drill bit dimensioned to pass through a central cutout region of the rotator plate and to engage with the central cutout region so as to be rotatable by the rotator wheel while allowing the rotator drill bit to move in an axis perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the drill bit.
