A percussion tool comprises a housing, an electric motor positioned within the housing, a percussion mechanism driven by the motor and including a striker supported for reciprocation in the housing along a first axis, and a pair of handles coupled to the housing. The handles define a second axis. The percussion tool further comprises a battery pack removably coupled to the housing for providing power to the motor when coupled to the housing. The first and second axes are contained within first and second planes, respectively, that are parallel to each other.

CONTROL METHOD AND BOREHOLE FLUSHING MODULE

A control method for a borehole flushing module (2) for a chiseling tool (5), includes the steps: Providing fine-grain particles in a dispenser (31); ascertaining a material (M) at a location processed by the tool (5) with the aid of a material detector (37); and introducing fine-grain particles at the location of the substrate processed by the tool (5) when the material detector (37) ascertains an iron-containing material (M2).

LUBRICANT-IMPREGNATED BUSHING FOR IMPACT TOOL

A power tool includes a housing having a motor housing portion and a front casing coupled to the motor housing portion. The power tool also includes an electric motor positioned within the motor housing portion, a drive assembly having an output shaft to which a tool element for performing work on a workpiece is attachable, and a powdered metal bushing disposed within the front casing that rotatably supports the output shaft.

A power tool contains one or more moving parts coated with a lubricant to reduce friction. The lubricant is intended to be sealed within a housing of the power tool. In order to better prevent leakage of the lubricant to the exterior of the housing, the housing and/or a component supported by the housing includes a part exhibiting oil repellency. The oil repellency is preferably imparted at least at a junction of the housing and the component supported by the housing. The oil repellency may be imparted by applying a fluorine-based coating or a nanocoating to the junction. In addition or in the alternative, the oil repellency may be imparted by forming a portion or all of the housing from a resin material containing an oil-repelling component and/or by attaching an oil-repellant component at or proximal to the junction.

A percussion tool includes a housing, a percussion mechanism including a striker supported for reciprocation in the housing along a first axis, and an anti-vibration system for attenuating vibration in a direction of the first axis. The anti-vibration system includes a linkage coupling the percussion mechanism to the housing. The linkage permits relative movement between the housing and the percussion mechanism along the first axis. The anti-vibration system also includes a counterweight supported by the percussion mechanism for relative movement therewith along a second axis that is parallel with the first axis. The counterweight reciprocates out of phase with the striker to attenuate vibration in the direction of the first axis.
