Metal drinking straw
An improved metal drinking straw is provided. The improved metal drinking straw includes an outer wall provided with a rough surface, an inner wall formed as a smooth mirror surface, and one end formed as a guiding structure. The guiding structure includes at least one first recess and at least one first protrusion. The first recess and the first protrusion are alternately connected.
Flow-Conducting Component
A method for geometrically designing a flow-conducting component, and a corresponding flow-conducting component, are provided. The flow-conducting includes a flow direction-changing surface arranged to change the direction of a flow by a certain angle from an inflow direction in a first section to an outflow direction in a second section, the flow direction-changing surface being formed corresponding to a contour of line segments having formed based on dependent triangulation between a bisector of the certain angle and sides of the first and/or second sections.
Patient enteral hydration with cooled fluids
A device and method for enterally hydrating a patient with cooled fluids. The patient may be a paralyzed or limited upper body mobility patient with a functional gastrointestinal system who is nonetheless incapable or not fully capable of drinking unassisted. Here fluids are provided by a suspended container which also has a pouch to admit cooling material such as ice, but to keep the cooling material separate from the fluid. The container may also have optional graduation markings to allow for convenient estimation of fluid use, and an upper open and closeable cap to allow the container to be refilled. The container has a lower fluid conducting tube that terminates in a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece contains a fluid valve formed from at least one slit in an elastic material. Patient mouth force on the valve causes the slit to enlarge, thus enabling cooled fluid to flow into the patient.
Advanced multi-element consumable-disposable products
The invention involves the incorporation and enablement of multiple interactive elements into high-volume consumables products to increase utility, function and features of the consumable product at minimal incremental cost and adjustment to production and manufacturing processes. The invention further reports processes and compositions that enable consumable products with differentiating features which product would otherwise be deficient for their intended use and application.
Container can and holding device
The invention relates to a container can that is sealed after being filled, to a holding device for introduction into a container can, and to a method for manufacturing a container can. A container can according to the invention that has a bottom, a peripheral wall that adjoins the bottom, and a narrowed end on one end facing away from the bottom is characterized in that a two-part holding device is located in the container can that has a second part and a first part detachably connected thereto, of which the first part has a connecting section for connecting the second part to the first part as well as a plurality of support arms, at least two upper support arms of which are designed to be supported in the region of the narrowed end on the peripheral wall of the container can and at least two lower support arms of which are designed to be supported on the peripheral wall of the container can in a place that is nearer to the bottom of the container can than the connecting section is.

StrawME
The present invention relates to a single use tubular straw for conditioning of a liquid passing through including; a cylindrical body for passing of the liquid; a bottom opening for inflow of the liquid in the cylindrical body; a top opening for outflow of the liquid from the cylindrical body; at least one conditioning agent for the conditioning of the liquid passing through the cylindrical body; and a seal for closing the top opening and the bottom opening of the cylindrical body. The conditioning agent is disposed on the inner surface of the cylindrical body and get dissolved in the liquid on passing of the liquid through the cylindrical body providing the conditioned liquid at the top opening of the cylindrical body.
Paper cup, a blank for a paper cup, and use of a paper cup
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a paper cup comprising: a base; a sidewall; said base and said sidewall together defining a space for receiving liquid or food; an upper end portion of the cup comprising a first and second pair of opposing closure panels, whereby each panel is attached to an upper edge of the sidewall via a respective first folding line and to adjacent panels via respective second folding lines. Said panels are foldable into a closed position to form a lid of the cup. Each panel of said first pair contains two additional folding lines to enable folding inwards. Upon folding to the closed position, a first panel of said second pair is partly inserted below a second panel of said second pair, and the panels of said second pair close the upper end portion.

Compostable wood composite material for thin-walled articles
A composition comprising a continuous thermoplastic polymer matrix having a melting point greater than 110° C. and, distributed within the matrix, particles of hydrophilic natural fiber material having a sieved size of less than 1.0 mm, the weight ratio of the thermoplastic polymer to the wood particles being from 99:1 to 35:65. An improvement in biodegradability of biopolymers, such as PLA, can be achieved. On the other hand, the addition of wood fibers enhances the material's ability to resist thermal deformation. The present compositions can be used for manufacturing hollow structures, by injection blow molding, of bottles with a wall thickness between 0.1 mm and 5 mm, in particular from 0.3 to 1 mm or continuous extruded products with a wall thickness from 0.3 mm to 1.5 mm.
