Rail hammer assemblies and methods
Rail hammer assemblies suitable for advancing driving a member into or toward or pulling a member from or away from a workpiece, respectively may include an impact mechanism. The impact mechanism may include an elongated slide rail. A first rail impact plate may be carried by the slide rail. A second rail impact plate may be carried by the slide rail in spaced-apart relationship to the first rail impact plate. At least a first permanent magnet may be carried by the slide rail outside the first rail impact plate. At least a second permanent magnet may be carried by the slide rail outside the second rail impact plate. An impact hammer may be slidably carried by the slide rail between the first rail impact plate and the second rail impact plate. The impact hammer may include at least one electromagnet. A control system may include at least one power source. A first button may interface with the at least one power source and the electromagnet to facilitate travel of the impact hammer in a first direction on the slide rail. A second button may interface with the at least one power source and the electromagnet to facilitate travel of the impact hammer in a second direction on the slide rail. Rail hammer methods are also disclosed.
DEAD BLOW SLIDE HAMMER
A dead blow slide hammer body with a through bore that receives and slides on a shaft. The hammer body includes one-or-more internal longitudinal cavities, lateral to the through bore, filled with a dampening material. When the hammer body sliding on the shaft strikes a slide stop, the dampening material creates a “dead blow” effect, increasing the duration of impact, while insulating a user from the shock.
Nail punching machine for driving in or pulling out rail spikes of a rail track
A nail punching machine for driving in or pulling out rail spikes comprises a driving mechanism, which is driven by means of an electric drive motor. The electric drive motor is supplied with electric power by means of an accumulator. The nail punching machine is held by an operator by means of at least one handle.
Multi-Use Hammer Device and Method
A slide and pull hammer device includes three major components, namely, a guide sleeve, a drive bar and an impact head. The drive bar is inserted within the guide sleeve. The impact head is secured within the distal end of the guide sleeve, and has a portion which protrudes beyond the guide sleeve distal end. The drive bar is operable to impact both a distal end and a proximal end of the guide sleeve to apply force to objects in at least two opposite force directions. One force applied by the device includes a hammering or compression force, and another force applied by the device includes a tension or withdrawing force.
Air cannon
A prior art powered wrist pin knocker is improved with a new plunger that prevents wobbling. The new plunger responds to a return vacuum pressure. The improved plunger is symmetrical along a longitudinal axis. New embodiments include a new side mount valve head to reduce length, a remote air controller and a variable length cylinder for the cannon. The new valve head is a simplified valve head assembly that adapts to an end of the cannon mount or a side mount or a remote mount. Another embodiment provides a stand for a surface mount application. This embodiment can have an extended piston for loosening tail bearings down a long channel. A manual return embodiment can use a rod to manually return the plunger to the proximal end for another firing cycle.

Constant Velocity Axle Removal Tool
An axle removal tool is provided. The axle removal tool includes a tubular collar configured to encircle an axle. A plurality of threaded friction retainers is disposed on opposing sides of the interior of the tubular collar, which are configured to be tightened against the axle firmly securing the axle to the tubular collar. The tubular collar is operably connected to a pair of vertical supports. The vertical supports are connected to each other via a horizontal member. A first end of a shaft is operably connected to the horizontal member. A sliding hammer is slidably connected to the shaft. A striking surface is operably connected to a second end of the shaft. An individual can slide the sliding hammer along the shaft and strike the striking surface. In such a manner the axle, which is securely connected to the axle removal tool, is released from an automobile.
Pneumatic percussive tool with attachments and method of use thereof
The present disclosure generally relates to quick change attachments for a pneumatic percussive tool. The attachments convert a pneumatic percussive tool, such as an air impact tool with proximal attachment means, which has a “pushing” force, into a pneumatic percussive tool having a “pulling” force. Once attached to the pneumatic percussive tool, the attachments also provide a quick change feature for allowing “pulling” tools to be simply and easily removed and replaced.
Two-piece pinion tool
A two-piece pinion shaft tool for disassembling a two-piece pinion shaft from a rack and pinion housing includes a tool body having an axial opening extending along an axis of the tool body and a transverse opening at least partially communicating with the axial opening. The tool body includes internal threads within the axial opening. A pin is inserted in the transverse opening for engaging a keyway in a first shaft portion of the two-piece pinion shaft. A slide hammer includes a slide portion having external threads engaged with the internal threads of the tool body and a hammer portion disposed on the slide portion. The tool body further includes a first end with a first plurality of fingers extending axially from the tool body and includes a second end with a second plurality of fingers extending axially from the tool body.
Extraction process of a glow plug pencil for a motor vehicle and the tooling set for the implementation of such a process
The invention involves the extraction process of a glow plug pencil (23) or a broken pencil (23) which is stuck in a cylinder head (13) housing (11) of a glow plug engine comprising a lower (19) and upper (17) part, so that the upper part (17) forms a shoulder (21) with the lower part (19), the pencil (23) being stuck in the lower part (19). The process is remarkable in that it includes a step (a) for drilling a bore in the pencil (23) according to the longitudinal direction of the latter which is performed with the use of a drill bit (1) comprising a drilling part (5) with flutes (7) and a shank (3) respectively having a diameter smaller and greater than the lower part diameter (19) of the housing (11) so that the shank (3) forms a shoulder (9) with the drilling part (5), and in that step a) for drilling the bore includes the drilling of the pencil (23) until the said shoulder (9) of the drill bit (1) is positioned to a stop against the shoulder (21) of the housing (11).
