A force-limiting and damping device has a body, a tapping element, a shock-absorbing element, and a limiting module. The body has a connecting segment and a holding segment. The tapping element is connected to the body to move relative to the connecting segment and has a mounting segment, a tapping segment, and a fixing segment. The mounting segment is movably connected to the connecting segment. The tapping segment is disposed on an end of the mounting segment below the connecting segment. The fixing segment is connected to the mounting segment and abuts the connecting segment. The shock-absorbing element is mounted on the mounting segment and abuts the connecting segment and the tapping segment. The limiting module is mounted between the body and the tapping element and has a force-limiting element mounted between the mounting segment and the connecting segment to provide a force-limiting reminder effect and a damping effect.

The tool body is configured such that an auxiliary handle is removably attached thereto. The main handle is connected to the tool body. The first detection part is configured to detect selected one of a plurality of modes. The second detection part is configured to detect whether or not the auxiliary handle is attached to the tool body. The control part is configured to control operation of the impact tool based on detection results of the first detection part and the second detection part.

Setting Method for Threading Connection by Means of Impact Wrench

A control method for tightening a threaded connection executes, in response to actuation of a pushbutton key, a sequence with consecutive phases. In a first phase, an impact mechanism of an impact wrench exerts a predefined number of rotary impacts on the threaded connection. During the first phase, a profile of a rotational angle over time is estimated. A pattern is adapted to the profile and on the basis of the pattern a setpoint torque is determined for a second phase and a final rotational angle or a final number of impacts is determined for a third phase. During the second phase, rotary impacts are exerted until an estimated torque reaches the setpoint torque. During the third phase, rotary impacts are exerted on the threaded connection until a number of rotary impacts corresponds to the final number or a rotational angle corresponds to the final rotational angle.

Electric motor driven tool for orthopedic impacting

An orthopedic impacting tool comprises a motor, an energy storage chamber, a striker, and an anvil. The motor stores energy in the energy storage chamber and then releases it, causing the striker to apply a controlled force on an adapter to create a precise impact for use in a surgical setting. The tool may further comprise a combination anvil and adapter. The tool further allows forward or backward impacting for expanding the size or volume of the opening or for facilitating removal of a broach, implant, or other surgical implement from the opening. An energy adjustment control of the tool allows a surgeon to increase or decrease the impact energy. A light source and hand grips improve ease of operation of the tool.

A control method for a power tool for rotary tools comprises rotating a tool holder continuously about a working axis by a rotary drive. A rotary movement of a handle about the working axis is sensed by a motion sensor. A first angle of rotation of the handle is estimated by a first motion estimator, wherein rotary movements beneath a limit value are discounted. A second angle of rotation of the handle is estimated by a second motion estimator, wherein rotary movements beneath the limit value are taken into account. A measure for reducing the torque output of the rotary drive is activated when the first angle of rotation exceeds a first triggering threshold (A1), and when the second angle of rotation exceeds a second triggering threshold (A2) and at the same time a power output of the rotary drive exceeds a power threshold (L).
