Versatile Slide Hammer Method and Apparatus
The present invention provides a means to achieve enhanced control of repair forces in the automotive body repair industry. In particular, the present invention provides a modified slide hammer and a method to achieve repair through the controlled application of forces otherwise not attainable with existing embodiments. Additionally, the present invention provides an ease of use and versatility of application and mounting at the site of the work in conjunction with and in line with existing devices used in the repair process. The application of the present invention provides increased reliability in the delivery of intended forces at the site of the work. Further, the inherent isolation of repair forces to the intended site of the work by the use of the present invention reduces the likelihood of secondary damage, material waste, or catastrophic failure thereby also enhancing the safety of the operator and the effectivity of repair. Specifically, the present invention may be implemented in conjunction with existing frame pullers in the automotive body repair industry to affect repair while providing facility to avoid obstructions in the path of applied forces.
AUTOMOTIVE SAFEY DEVICE
An automotive safety device includes a housing and a removable support assembly having a base and support members pivotally attached to the base and moveable between a first, closed position and a second, open position. Each support member is arranged directly adjacent to an outer surface of the housing in the first position. In the second position, the support members allow the device to be freestanding. A first light source is arranged on the housing such that the device may function as an emergency roadside light. The device further includes a tire pressure gauge, including a pressure sensor, a processor, and a display, wherein the processor is configured to output a value on the display indicative of a measured pressure.
Seal placement device
A device (100) for placing a seal (J) on a mounting (S) including a vibration generator (10), that includes: a main body (11); a distal portion (12), movable relative to the main body, onto which a cap (13) having a contact surface (13a) for engaging with the seal is attached; and drive elements (14), configured to drive the distal portion in reciprocal translation relative to the main body, such as to place the seal on the mounting when the contact surface (13a) of the cap (13) engages with the seal (J) that is placed on the mounting (S). The device includes: a grasping handle (20), connected to the main body; and resilient connection elements (30a, 30b) that are located between the main body and the grasping handle and are configured such as to limit the propagation, in the grasping handle, of the vibrations generated by the reciprocal translation movement.
Safety hammer for breaking glass, method for assembly of a safety hammer, safety tool holder, system for holding a safety tool and kit of parts
A safety hammer (1) for breaking glass, comprises a housing (2) comprising at least two shell parts (2a, 2b); a hammer head (3) having at least one end (4) for breaking the glass, wherein the hammer head (3) is at least partly enclosed by the shell parts (2a, 2b) such that the at least one end (4) of the hammer head (3) extends outside the housing (2); wherein the hammer head (3) is arranged for cooperation with the shell parts (2a, 2b) for fastening the shell parts (2a, 2b) via the ham
mer head (3). A safety tool holder comprises a base holder element and at least one intermediate holder element arranged for removable coupling to the base holder element at one end and for removable coupling to a safety tool at another end; wherein the intermediate holder element is provided with a single connecting element for removable connection to the safety tool.
ASSIST GRIP HANDLE
Provided is an assist grip handle storing an escape hammer. The handle is to be attached to an interior space of a vehicle, and includes a bar-shaped grip portion; a curved portion continuous with at least one end of the grip portion; and an attachment portion continuous with the curved portion and attached to an interior member of the vehicle. Since provided inside the grip portion is a storage portion continuous with an opening section formed at the curved portion side, and an escape hammer is stored in the storage portion, the hammer can be stored in the handle in a compact manner. Since there are provided a biasing member biasing the hammer toward the opening section side; a regulation portion for regulating the hammer; and a push button for releasing the restriction by the regulation portion, the hammer can be easily installed in and removed from the handle.
GLASS BREAKER
A tempered glass crushing device including a support unit (110) that is disposed in contact with a surface of a tempered glass to be crushed and has a tip movement hole (111a) formed in a plate surface thereof. The device further includes hitting unit (120) that is vertically movably coupled to an upper portion of the support unit (110) and has a crushing tip (123) for hitting the tempered glass through the tip movement hole (111a) while lowered to a central region. The device further includes a safety pin (140) inserted between the support unit (110) and the hitting unit (120) to prevent the hitting unit (120) from being lowered arbitrarily.
ATV, SIDE-BY-SIDE, AND SNOWMOBILE UNIVERSAL BALL JOINT REMOVER AND INSTALLER TOOLS AND SERVICE KIT
A universal ball joint installation and removal tool kit for the purpose of service and repair or removal and installation of ball joint suspension components includes at least one tool assembly comprising a rod member having a first end and a second end, and a plurality of adapter members for mechanical attachment or engagement with respective ones of different sized ball joint suspension components. Each of the adapter members is configured to attach at the second end of the rod member. When servicing a ball joint suspension component, a selected adapter member is mechanically attached to a particular ball joint suspension component and attached at the second end of the rod member, which is used to install or remove the particular ball joint suspension component via a slidable weight along the rod member or pulling or pushing the rod member relative to the particular ball joint suspension component.
