At least the first handle includes an axle extending thereacross. The multipurpose tool also includes one or more tool members rotatably mounted upon the axle and foldable into the first handle and first and second jaws rotatably connected to the first and second handles, respectively. At least the first jaw defines an opening through which the axle of the first handle extends. The multipurpose tool further includes a resilient member disposed at least partially within the opening in order to apply a bias force to the first jaw during rotation of the first jaw relative to the first handle.
Multi-tools
A multi-tool includes a plurality of individual tools such as four individual hex-head screwdrivers, a hexalobular internal screwdriver, and a tire repair tool, each of the individual tools rotatably coupled to a main body of the multi-tool. A distal portion of the hexalobular internal screwdriver may be nested within a proximal portion of the tire repair tool. When the multi-tool is in a closed configuration, a distal end of the tire repair tool may be located inside a distal end of a largest one of the hex-head screwdrivers.
Shipboard Multi-tool
A Shipboard Multi-tool. The Multi-tool includes a pair of groups of tools that are individually-extendable from the handle in order to allow the Multi-tool to operate a plurality of different shipboard mechanisms with a single assembly. One group of extendable tools includes spanner and box wrenches. Another group of extendable tools includes key-type wrenches. The individual extendable wrenches are lockable in a variety of angular positions relative to the handle to provide the user with several configurations with which to use the wrenches. The locking mechanisms are operable by depressing a spring-loaded push-button.
INSULATED MULTI-TOOL
An insulated multi-tool comprising a pair of opposing jaws, a pair of opposed handles operatively connected to the jaws relative to a pivot to force the jaws into a clamping position about an object, at least one of the opposed handles having a tool-receiving pocket, at least one tool stored in the tool receiving pocket, the at least one tool pivotally attached relative to the tool receiving pocket for movement between a stored position in which the at least one tool is stored within the tool receiving pocket and an open, use position in which the at least one tool is located relative to at least one of the opposed handles for use, and wherein the a pair of opposed handles are electrically insulated from both the pair of opposing jaws and each at least one tool.
HOLDER FOR REPLACEABLE PART OF A TOOL
The invention deals with a holder (22, 23) for holding a replaceable part (1) of a tool, such as a replaceable jaw of pliers, wherein the replaceable part (1) comprises a first locking member (6), and wherein the tool further comprises a handle (3) comprising a second locking member (8), wherein one of the first and second locking members (6, 8) is moveable relative to the other locking member between: an engaged position wherein the second locking member (8) is engaged with the first locking member (6) so as to lock the replaceable part (1) to the handle (3), and a disengaged position wherein the second locking member (8) is disengaged from the first locking member (6) so as to allow the replaceable part (1) and the handle (3) to be separated, wherein the holder (22, 23) comprises a cavity (32) for receiving the replaceable part (1), and an unlocking member (36) adapted to move said one of the first and second locking members (6, 8) from the engaged position to the disengaged position when the replaceable part (1) is received in the cavity (32).
Wrist-worn, tool and routine activity aiding device
A wrist-worn, tool and routine activity aiding device comprising, a wristband housing having a front that includes a bottom surface, an outer edge and a sidewall that extends upwards from said bottom surface outer edge, said sidewall having an inner surface, and a defined cavity boundary, a body having a boundary edge and top and bottom surfaces, a means for aiding the wearer in a routine activity of the wearer and that is attached to the body, a tubular member, a flange. The tubular member of the device is mounted to the body boundary edge, wherein the flange interacts with the wristband housing to lock and unlock the tubular member to the housing. Tool members have a configuration to be moved from a stored position to extended position for use, and wherein the tool members in a stored position are located and stored completely within the boundaries of the cavity.
Tool with function of fastening and cutting clamping band
This invention provides a tool with a function of fastening and cutting a clamping band, including a left pliers head, a right pliers head and a switching structure. The right pliers head and the left pliers head cooperate with each other to fasten and cut the clamping band. The switching structure is disposed at the left pliers head and the right pliers head to adjust the distance between the left pliers head and the right pliers head when the left pliers head and the right pliers head clamp tightly. The tool with the function of fastening and cutting the clamping band provided in this invention achieves one tool with two functions.
MATING INTERFACE FOR A POWER HEAD CONFIGURED TO OPERATE MULTIPLE TOOL ATTACHMENTS
A multi-tool (100) includes a power head (120) including a power head housing (122) having a handle (124) operably coupled thereto, a tool attachment (106, 108, 110) configured to perform a work function, the tool attachment (106, 108, 110) being alternately separable from and operably coupled to the power head (120), a motor (140) disposed in the power head housing (122), a battery (130) configured to be operably coupled to the motor (140) to selectively power the motor (140), a power head mating interface (121) including structures disposed at the power head (120) for defining a physical mating assembly, a drive power transfer assembly and an electronic assembly, and a tool mating interface (123) including structures disposed at a housing of the tool attachment (106, 108, 110) for defining the physical mating assembly, the drive power transfer assembly and the electronic assembly. The structures disposed at the power head (120) and the structures disposed at the housing of the tool attachment (106, 108, 110) for defining the physical mating assembly are configured to contact each other before the structures disposed at the power head (120) and the structures disposed at the housing of the tool attachment (106, 108, 110) for defining the drive power transfer assembly contact each other responsive to operably coupling of the power head mating interface (121) to the tool mating interface (123).
