Rotation of the cam moves the mandrel between the retracted position and the extended position. The expansion tool further includes a rotation mechanism configured to incrementally rotate the collar.

Power tool

A power tool includes an electric motor having an output shaft, a transmission having a transmission housing, a spindle rotatable in response to receiving torque from the transmission and a pinion coupled to the output shaft. The pinion includes a bushing portion, a toothed portion for driving the transmission, and a cylindrical portion between the bushing portion and the toothed portion. The power tool further comprises a fan coupled to the bushing portion of the pinion and a bearing arranged between the cylindrical portion and the transmission housing for rotatably supporting the pinion and the output shaft.

Control assembly for use in operation of an electric device

A control assembly for use in controlling a speed of operation of an electric device, the control assembly including: a control assembly housing; a magnetic sensor; a magnetic element; an actuator that is configured for movement relative to the control assembly housing wherein responsive to said movement of the actuator relative to the control assembly housing, the magnetic sensor and magnetic element move relative to each other between at least one of a first position and a second position such that the magnetic sensor senses a first magnetic field reading when in the first position and senses a second magnetic field reading when in the second position; and, a control module operably connected to the magnetic sensor and configured for controlling the electric device to operate in at least one of a first speed and a second speed by reference to an output of the magnetic sensor indicative of the sensed first magnetic field reading and the second magnetic field reading respectively.

Direction selector mechanism for a power tool

A direction selector mechanism for a hand-held power tool that includes internal linkages that move an actuation point of a direction selection from above the trigger (as in previous tools) to a top of the tool. For example, the control for the direction selector mechanism includes a direction toggle positioned on a top of the tool, and that is movable by a user to select either of first and second rotational directions (e.g. clockwise and counter-clockwise). This position/location allows the user to select or change between the first and second rotational directions with a user's thumb for both direction changes, in either hand ambidextrously, and places the trigger actuation higher up in the tool, closer to the axis of output of the tool.

A hand-held power tool, in particular a screwdriver, includes a housing, in which at least one drive unit for driving a tool holder is arranged, the tool holder being designed to hold an insertion tool. The hand-held power tool further includes a torque setting device for setting a specified torque at least within specified limits. The torque setting device has a screw thread region and a spring-loaded setting unit for setting the specified torque. The setting unit is operatively connected to the screw thread region. The torque setting device is assigned a compression spring which is coaxial to the screw thread region. The compression spring is arranged such that the screw thread region surrounds the compression spring at least partly with respect to the axial direction of the drive unit.

METHOD AND WORK APPARATUS WITH SOUND ADAPTATION
20220314421 · 2022-10-06 ·

The disclosure relates to a method for sound adaptation, via a sound generator, of a handheld work apparatus driven by an electric drive motor and to a handheld work apparatus with a sound generator configured for this purpose. The work apparatus generates during operation an uncorrected operating sound. Via the sound generator, during operation a supplementary sound is generated in addition to the uncorrected operating sound and is overlaid on the operating sound to form an overall sound with an overall sound pressure level (LG.sub.p). In this case, the main component of the supplementary sound lies in an adaptation frequency spectrum (f.sub.A) below 1 kHz.
