Multi-Column Clamping Arrangement for a Power Tool
20250367807 · 2025-12-04 ·

A power tool includes at least two columns, a carriage configured to move along the at least two columns, and a clamping arrangement configured to selectively clamp the carriage to at least a first column and a second column of the at least two columns. The clamping arrangement has an actuator configured to be actuated to move the clamping arrangement between a clamped state and an unclamped state, and a force redirecting member. In the clamped state, the actuator acts on the force redirecting member with an actuator force in a first direction, and the force redirecting member redirects the actuator force into a first clamping force acting on the first column in a second direction and a second clamping force acting on the second column in a third direction.

AUTOFEED SCREWDRIVER

A clutchless autofeed screwdriving tool designed to prevent overdriving screws into a workpiece. A user positions the tool onto a workpiece and presses down on a nosepiece, which then retracts a slide body inside the tool. The tool includes a sensor that, when contacted by a rear portion of the slide body, sends a first signal to a controller to stop a motor. Once the motor stops, a drive bit also stops rotating, thereby preventing overdriving a screw into a workpiece. The user then removes the tool from the workpiece, and the slide body automatically extends. When the slide body moves out of contact with the sensor, the sensor sends a second signal to the controller to start the motor, which then starts the drive bit rotating again.

A hand-held power tool, more particularly a router, includes (i) a housing in which a drive unit for driving an insertion tool is disposed; (ii) a base plate for guiding the hand-held power tool on a workpiece surface, the base plate being height-adjustable on the housing, and the base plate having an opening, through which the insertion tool at least partly extends; and (iii) a height adjustment device for setting a working height of the base plate on the housing relative to the insertion tool. A setting aid is provided which allows height adjustment of a bottom of the base plate by way of the height adjustment device such that said bottom is flush with a predefined cutting edge of the insertion tool.

Rotary power tool

A rotary hammer tool can include a housing, a first motor supported by the housing, a spindle rotated by the first motor, a second motor supported by the housing, and a reciprocation mechanism reciprocated by the second motor. The reciprocation mechanism can include a piston driven to reciprocate within the spindle and a striker to reciprocate within the spindle in response to reciprocation of the piston. The rotational speed of the spindle and a reciprocation frequency of the reciprocation mechanism may be independently controllable.
