PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A POWER TOOL, AND SYSTEM WHICH COMPRISES A PROTECTION DEVICE AND A POWER TOOL

A protection device for a power tool is provided. The power tool can be, in particular, a hand-held battery-operated power tool, such as a cut-off grinder. The power tool preferably has main components in a main region, such as a motor, transmission and rechargeable batteries, which are protected effectively from mechanical damage, e.g. when dropped, by the protection device. Moreover, the protection device prevents the transmission of vibrations in the power tool to the user. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a system which comprises a protection device and a power tool.

A battery (1800) for insertion into a battery compartment (150) of a hand-held work tool (100, 200), wherein the battery (1800) has a weight between 3-7 kg, and comprises a groove (1810) arranged on one side of the battery to mate with a corresponding supporting heel (1710) arranged on a wall of a battery compartment (150). The battery further comprises an upper ridge structure (1820) and a lower ridge structure (1830) arranged on an opposite side of the battery compared to the groove (1810), wherein the ridge structures (1820, 1830) are arranged to mate with corresponding dove-tail grooves (1720, 1730) of the battery compartment (150).

Impact damping device for a rechargeable battery

A power tool, in particular a chipping hammer, having a housing and a battery interface device for releasably connecting at least one rechargeable battery to the power tool. An impact damping device is contained between the housing and the battery interface device, wherein the impact damping device contains at least one damping element which is arranged in a longitudinal extent perpendicularly to a working axis of the power tool.

Reducing noise and lowering harmonics in power tools using conduction band control schemes

Conduction band control schemes are presented for reducing noise and/or lower harmonics in power tools. A controller in the tool is interfaced with a plurality of motor switches and, for each phase, operates to output a pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal to one or more of the motor switches to control power supplied to the electric motor. The controller is also configured to monitor a parameter indicative of the load on the motor. In response to detecting a load greater than a threshold, the controller controls power output of the motor by setting conduction band of the motor switches and the advance angle to baseline values predetermined values. In response to detecting a load less than the threshold, the controller reduces at least one of the conduction band and the advance angle to a value less than the baseline values.

Drop protection system for rechargeable batteries

A shock absorbing device for a rechargeable battery, in particular for supplying a machine tool with electrical energy, wherein the rechargeable battery includes a housing for accommodating at least one energy storage cell. The shock absorbing device includes at least one shock absorbing element for absorbing shock energy exerted on the housing of the rechargeable battery.

Driving machine

There is provided a driving machine capable of reducing a load applied to a guide member in a direction of a center axis. The driving machine drives a fastener into a workpiece. The driving machine includes a movable piston, a driver blade operating together with the piston and applying driving force to the fastener, a cylinder guiding operation of the piston, a holder provided in a housing and supporting the cylinder, and a vibration damping rubber interposed between the holder and the housing and receiving a load applied to the holder in an operational direction of the piston.

POWER TOOL

A power tool includes a motor, a spindle, an inner housing, an outer housing formed by an upper member and a lower member, a pair of interposing members and a pair of elastic members. The interposing members are arranged leftward and rightward of the inner housing, respectively, and fixedly connected to a first member, which is one of the upper member and the lower member, and at least partially in contact with an inner surface of the first member. The elastic members are held between a left portion of the inner housing and one of the interposing members and between a right portion of the inner housing and the other of the interposing members, respectively. A first end portion of each of the interposing members has at least one first surface extending to be closer to the inner housing toward a tip end of the first end portion.

IMPACT TOOL WITH VIBRATION ISOLATION
