A system is described that generates insights on the consumption or usage behavior of a product by analyzing the real-time usage of the product by one or more users. The product is placed on the measuring device for continuous monitoring of the usage of the product by those one or more users in real-time. The measuring device includes a sensor unit that generates weigh data, motion data, location data, and time consumed data of the product and transmits to a computing device. A communication device records the consumption or usage of the product by a user, along with feedback from the user. The computing device generates insights based on the sensed data generated by the measuring device, and recording and feedback at the communication device. The computing device generates reportsone for the user, and one for a merchant of the product and/or similar productsincluding respective insights.

A drinking consumption inspection apparatus, including: a plurality of compartments; a plurality of cups, each being associated to a different and only to one person, and to a different and only one of the compartments, for inserting the cup thereinto; a weight for each of the compartments, for weighing the cup thereof, upon the insertion; and a controller, for accumulating decrease of sequential weights provided by said weights, for each cup separately, over time, thereby the drinking consumption inspection apparatus records drinking quantity of each of the cups, for inspecting that each person drinks sufficiently.

In one example, the apparatus includes a feed arm operative to transfer food from the food compartment to an individual; and, a sensor(s) used in part to determine the quantity or type of the solid or liquids in the food compartment or container. Determining the quantity and/or type of food in the food compartment prior to and after the individual has ceased consuming food from the food compartment the amount or quantity of the food can be determined. Based on such knowledge the nutritional value of the food may be determined and if needed transmitted to a remote location. In addition, sensors may also monitor an individual's physical data and communicate such data to a remote location.
