FOLDING TOOL
Provided is a tool that includes a handle assembly including a top portion and a bottom portion. The tool also includes a lock plate disposed between the top and bottom portions and having a deflectable arm having a free end biased towards the top portion, a fixed end opposite the free end, an inner edge, an outer edge, and a detent near the free end and the inner edge. The tool additionally includes a blade having first and second ends, an indent in a bottom surface of the blade near the first end for engaging the detent in a closed position, and a ramp on the bottom surface near the indent defining a reduced thickness portion of the blade that reduces in thickness from the indent towards an edge of the blade to reduce contact between the detent and the blade during rotation of the blade.

Ergonometric utility handle
An ergonometric utility handle having a main body portion having an end that fits in a cupped palm and concavities emanating from the end that lengthwise substantially conformingly receive palm sides of a thumb and at least one finger. The concavities are widely dish shaped or bound and defined by gently sloped surfaces disposed in laterally outwardly spaced relation to the utility object or a mounting element therefor and against which the thumb and finger or fingers can be positioned and pressed to control and exert useful mechanical advantage. Additional features include a cantilever element against which a finger can be pressed to enhance control and mechanical advantage, an ability to remove and reorient a utility object, such as to reverse the diagonal cut of a brush tip, and an ability to attach an extension in one or more ways.

Weighted dock maintenance tool
A scraping tool having a thick, durable scraping blade attached to a weighted main body is particularly useful in scraping encrusted marine growth from seawalls, dock and pier pilings, and bridge structures is disclosed. A scraping blade formed of 316 Stainless Steel having a thickness of approximately 3/16″, with a front end that is preferably angled approximately 15-degrees from the longitudinal axis of the tool arranges the blade for maximum effectiveness. The blade has teeth with each tooth defining a beveled upper tip surface to aid in piercing encrusted barnacle growth.
ERGONOMIC LATERAL MANUAL SWEEPING DEVICE
An ergonomic lateral sweeping device is described. In an embodiment, the device has a sweeping head such as a broom or rake head, and an elongated pole attached to the head. A paddle is rotatably attached to the elongated pole opposite the head, the paddle being wider than the elongated pole. The paddle has a front surface and a rear surface that extend horizontally and vertically so as to provide an area of contact between an arm and a torso. A handle is attached to the pole between the paddle and the sweeping head for rotation about a single axis with respect to the paddle. The handle has a hand grip to receive a rotational force to control a rotational position of the sweeping head with respect to the paddle, wherein the handle and the sweeping head rotate together with respect to the paddle about the single axis.
HAND TOOL WITH REPLACEABLE TOOL HEAD
A modified hand tool for remote location use such as trail maintenance or fighting forest or brush fires. The hand tool can be fitted with replaceable tool heads and is designed so that the tool head can not slide off the handle in either direction.
