A tilting assembly table located on a surface includes a frame having first, second, and third horizontal members parallel to each other. The assembly table further includes a base plate rotatably mounted to the first horizontal member, the base plate having a first end and a second end and being rotatable from a first position wherein the first end of the base plate contacts the second horizontal member to a second position wherein the second end of the base plate contacts the third horizontal member. The base plate further includes, at least one channel mounted to a bottom side of the base plate, and at least one ball bearing movable between a first end of the channel when the base plate is in the first position and a second end of the channel when the base plate is in the second position.

The present invention relates to a top toolbox to provide additional storage on top of a toolbox without eliminating the workbench of the toolbox. The top toolbox is comprised of a cabinet, a frame guide, and lifting means to adjust the cabinet from a resting position in which the cabinet covers the frame guide to a raised position allowing access under the cabinet within the perimeter of the frame guide.

A gun smith platform includes a top plate. The top plate has a tool hole centrally disposed on the top plate that extends through the top plate through which a work piece attached to a work tool mounted to a bottom side of the top plate may extend, a plurality of alignment holes extending in a linear pattern from the tool hole, the alignment holes configured to receive alignment pins, at least one row of threaded mounting holes disposed parallel to the linear pattern of alignment holes, and a recessed track disposed parallel to the at least one row of threaded mounting holes. Four legs are attached to and supporting the top plate.

A gun smith platform includes a top plate. The top plate has a tool hole centrally disposed on the top plate that extends through the top plate through which a work piece attached to a work tool mounted to a bottom side of the top plate may extend, a plurality of alignment holes extending in a linear pattern from the tool hole, the alignment holes configured to receive alignment pins, at least one row of threaded mounting holes disposed parallel to the linear pattern of alignment holes, and a recessed track disposed parallel to the at least one row of threaded mounting holes. Four legs are attached to and supporting the top plate.

A workstand support can have a height adjustment mechanism using a multi point locking system for simultaneously lock and unlock multiple locations in the height adjustment mechanism. Latch configurations of the multi point locking system can provide high surface areas for higher load support. Snap latches and spring loaded assemblies can provide means to secure the multi point locking system. Folded legs can reduce storage space for the workstand support.

A workstand support can have a height adjustment mechanism using a multi point locking system for simultaneously lock and unlock multiple locations in the height adjustment mechanism. Latch configurations of the multi point locking system can provide high surface areas for higher load support. A method for configuring an assembly workstation, the assembly workstation having container receptacle devices configured to receive an associated material container, each container receptacle device having a first data carrier, the material containers having a second data carrier, the assembly workstation having a first position determination device configured to ascertain one of (i) a position of a hand of a worker and (ii) a marking connectable to the hand, the first position determination device being connected to a control device, the method comprising: capturing a reference position corresponding to a reference point on a container receptacle device that is touched by the hand of the worker; reading out first data from the first data carrier associated with the reference point; reading out second data from the second data carrier associated with the reference point; and storing the reference position, the first data, and the second data.

A vise for securing a work piece is disclosed which includes a base. A first jaw piece and a second jaw piece can be disposed on the base, at least one of the first and second jaw pieces movable on the base such that the first and second jaw pieces are moveable toward and away from one another. A magnetic assembly can be positioned on the base and configured to produce a magnetic field that extends beyond the base to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface. The magnetic assembly can be operable to alternate between an active mode and an inactive mode. The magnetic assembly can produce a magnetic field when the magnetic assembly is in the active mode to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface.

A vise for securing a work piece is disclosed which includes a base. A first jaw piece and a second jaw piece can be disposed on the base, at least one of the first and second jaw pieces movable on the base such that the first and second jaw pieces are moveable toward and away from one another. A table comprising a worktop including an axis of rotation, a perimeter, and an effective radius, the effective radius defined as the average distance between the axis of rotation and the perimeter; a frame; a rotational connection disposed between the worktop and the frame, the connection configured to allow the worktop to rotate about the axis of rotation; and a plurality of bearings disposed between the worktop and the frame to rollingly support the worktop on the frame, at least one of the bearings disposed more than half of the effective radius from the axis of rotation.
