The present system is directed to a modular apparatus that may be assembled and disassembled repeatedly without the use of tools. The modular system includes connectors that may be fixed to the underside of a plank and then engaged with leg portions. The connectors further include channels to accommodate retention members of additional attachments, such as covers, guards, signage, or racks that may be added onto the modular apparatus to increase its utility. The retention members mate with the connectors to connect and securely hold the attachment and can be removed from the connectors all without the need for tools.

Aspects of the invention comprise work benches and racks (which may comprise wall mounted racks or racks with elevated supported shelves or the like), such as storage and mounting racks. A method of remanufacturing a toner cartridge includes installing a modified end cap in which a portion of a drive assembly for an internal toner seal removal mechanism has been disabled. With the modified end cap installed, the toner cartridge may be post tested without removing the internal toner seal. When the post test is complete the modified end cap is removed and a non-modified end cap with a functional drive assembly is installed in its place.
