Robot cleaner, station and cleaning system
A cleaning system is provided. The cleaning system includes a robot cleaner and a station. The robot cleaner includes a pad fixing part on which a cleaning pad is detachably mounted, a lifter to lift a part of the robot cleaner at which the pad fixing part is positioned, and a pad detacher to detach the cleaning pad mounted on the pad fixing part. The station includes a pad storage box in which a cleaning pad that is to be provided to the robot cleaner is stored, a pad coupling part on which a cleaning pad that is to be coupled to the robot cleaner is rested, and a pad supplier to supply the cleaning pad stored in the pad storage box to the pad coupling part.
Interactive reminder companion
The present disclosure relates to a system for reminding a person to perform an activity. The system comprise a robot configured to carry out different behaviors, wherein the activity and its corresponding trigger condition are set by a user and the system selects, from the different behaviors, a first behavior assigned to the activity, senses the person, determines, based on the sensors information, whether or not the activity is performed by the person in accordance with the trigger condition. The robot carries out the selected behavior if the activity is not performed by the person in accordance with the trigger condition, wherein after or during the selected behavior is carried out, an activity of the person is determined based on the information derived from the sensors to select a second behavior from the different behaviors.
Latch for sidewalk robot
A latch mechanism for a sidewalk delivery robot or container includes a plunger that extends to engage a latch body on a lid to lock the lid closed, a cable for pulling the plunger out of engagement with the lid to free the lid for opening, and a temporary catch mechanism for holding the plunger in the retracted position during an initial phase of the opening process. The catch, and therefore the plunger, is released when a forward-extending release arm of the catch is engaged by the latch body during the opening process to pivot the catch. A slot hinge mechanism includes a spring piston to guard against finger pinching and a slider that is attached to the piston of the latch mechanism by the cable. Actuation of the hinge mechanism retracts the piston to its retracted position.
AUTHENTICATION
Robotic customer service agents are provided such that, when properly authenticated, they are operable to perform a customer service task. A contact center may dispatch a robot, an accessory for a customer-owned robot, or instructions to transform an unconfigured robot, such as a generic robot, into a configured robot operable to perform the task. If the robot, such as the base or entire robot, robot at the service location, an associated user, hardware addition, and/or software addition is authentic, then the robot may be operated in an authenticated mode. If non-authenticated, then the robot may operate in a non-authenticated mode, such as one consisting of one or more tasks or features being disabled. Additionally, authentication may be temporary (e.g., time restricted) or event restricted (e.g., as long as a result stays within a given range, the robot is being observed, etc.).
MODULES REGISTRATION AND STATUS UPDATE OF MODULAR ASSEMBLY SYSTEM
A method for registering one of a plurality of assembly modules operatively coupled to one another in a modular assembly system is provided. A first message including a first identifier of the assembly module is received from one of the plurality of assembly modules. A second message including a second identifier for the assembly module is transmitted to the assembly module. The second identifier is generated based on at least the first identifier. A third message including the second identifier is received from the assembly module. In response to determining that the third message is received, the assembly module is registered as a new assembly module of the modular assembly system. At least one of the receiving, transmitting, determining, and registering is performed by a control module of the plurality of assembly modules.
SERVICE ROBOT ASSESSMENT AND OPERATION
A customer service robot may be selected, or configured, to address a particular work item. Robots may comprise different functionality due to absent software or hardware or due to existent but worn or non-compliant components. A particular work item may have several means of resolution. A particular resolution path is selected in accord with the ability of a robot. Should no path exist, the robot may be transformed by the addition or installation of hardware and/or software to provide the absent functionality. Resolution paths may also be weighted based on the level of success provided by prior resolution paths and/or the requirement for human involvement. Accordingly, a resolution path may be provided that balances robot capability with the likelihood of success and an appropriate level of human involvement.
Automatic moving apparatus and manual operation method thereof
Various interfaces allowing users to directly manipulate an automatic moving apparatus manually, thus enhancing user convenience and efficiency, are provided. An automatic moving apparatus includes: a storage unit configured to store a traveling method; an image detection unit configured to acquire a captured image; a driving unit having one or more wheels and driving the wheels according to a driving signal; and a control unit configured to extract a traveling direction from the traveling method stored in the storage unit in a first mode, extract a traveling direction indicated by a sensing target from the captured image acquired by the image detection unit in a second mode, and generate a driving signal for moving the automatic moving apparatus in the extracted traveling direction.
SMART HOME ROBOT ASSISTANT
Methods and systems are described for robot transportation of objects into or out of a home automation system. One example may include determining, by a mobile robotic device, that an object is available to cross a boundary of the home automation system. The method may include deactivating at least a portion of the home automation system. The method also include retrieving, by the mobile robotic device, the object and transporting, by the mobile robotic device, the object across the boundary. The method further includes leaving, by the mobile robotic device, the object at a drop-off location. The method may also include reactivating at least the portion of the home automation system.
Cleaning roller for cleaning robots
A cleaning roller is mountable to a cleaning robot. The cleaning roller includes a sheath comprising a shell, an outer diameter of the shell tapering from a first end portion of the sheath and a second end portion of the sheath toward a center of the roller. The cleaning roller further includes a core including a central portion interlocked with the sheath to rotationally couple the core to the sheath and inhibit relative translation of the sheath and the core along an axis of rotation. An inner surface of the sheath and an outer surface of the core define an air gap therebetween, the air gap extending from the central portion of the core longitudinally along the axis of rotation toward the first end portion or the second end portion.
ROBOT CONTROL SYSTEM
A robot control system includes: a plurality of conversation-type robots including an acquiring unit configured to acquire conversation information including conversation content during conversation with the user, background information during the conversation with the sure, and information on emotional reaction of a user during the conversation with the user; a collector configured to collect the acquired conversation information; and a generator configured to generate control information for controlling the plurality of conversation-type robots by using the collected conversation information. The plurality of conversation-type robots have a conversation with the user by using the control information to acquire new conversation information from the user.
