Each of the at least three spherical surface sliding bearings has an inner ring and an outer ring, either one of the inner ring and the outer ring is attached to the first member, and the other is attached to the second member. In at least two of the at least three spherical surface sliding bearings, the height adjustment mechanism intervenes, at least either one of between one of the inner ring and the outer ring, and the first member, and between the other and the second member.
Instrument interface for robotic surgical instrument
A robotic surgical instrument, comprising: a shaft; an end effector element; an articulation at a distal end of the shaft for articulating the end effector element, the articulation comprising: a first and second joint permitting the end effector element to adopt a range of configurations relative to a longitudinal axis of the shaft, the first joint being driveable by a first pair of driving elements having a first positional accuracy requirement and the second joint being driveable by a second pair of driving elements having a second positional accuracy requirement lower than the positional accuracy requirement of the first pair of driving elements; and an instrument interface at a proximal end of the shaft, comprising: a chassis formed from the attachment of a first chassis portion to a second chassis portion, the first chassis portion comprising a mounting surface to which the shaft is mounted; wherein the first pair of driving elements are secured relative to the first chassis portion.
ROBOT ARM FOR A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A KITCHEN APPLIANCE
The present invention relates to a robot arm (10) for a domestic appliance, in particular for a kitchen appliance. The robot arm (10) comprises a base module (12) for fastening said robot arm (10) at or on the domestic appliance or in the environment of said domestic appliance. The robot arm (10) comprises at least one end module (22) adapted or adaptable for specific functions. The robot arm (10) comprises at least one drive unit (14, 16, 18) interconnected between the base module (12) and the end module (22). The end module (22) is exchangeable by the user.
Rotational structure, assist system, and robot
A rotational structure is configured such that a hollow portion, in which a base member is opposed to a rotational member, is formed around a shaft member. An encoder provided in the hollow portion includes a detection target member rotated together with one of the rotational member and the base member and having a physical quantity changing in a circumferential direction, and a detector capable of detecting the physical quantity of the detection target element and rotated together with the other of the rotational member and the base member.
ARM MODULE FOR A MODULAR ROBOT ARM OF AN INDUSTRIAL ROBOT
An arm module includes a housing with a first connection side controllably rotatable relative to a second connection side, about an axis of rotation. The first connection side has a rotatable first connection device. The second connection side has a second connection device fixed to the housing, with a rotation-compatible data transmission device for transmitting data signals along at least one transmission path between the first and second connection sides. The transmission path includes at least one wireless transmission sub-path for wireless transmission of data signals, and at least one wire-guided transmission sub-path for wire-guided transmission of data signals. The rotation-compatible data transmission device includes at least one first wireless transmission unit and at least one second wireless transmission unit, interconnected via the transmission path and arranged to wirelessly transmit and receive data signals along the wireless transmission sub-path. An industrial robot can have a plurality of such arm modules.
Spherical robot including ring member
Disclosed is a spherical robot may include a body having a substantially spherical shape; and a ring member having a ring shape, the ring member being coupled to the body so as to be rotated about the body, wherein the ring member includes an inner surface configured to face a surface of the body and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface.
Magnetic latch for a surgical robotic system
A surgical robotic system that includes a surgical table that is configured to hold a patient and a magnetic latch. The magnetic latch has a ferromagnetic plate, a permanent magnet that produces a first magnetic field and that attracts the ferromagnetic plate to thereby couple a robotic arm to the surgical table, and a cancelling coil, which when energized, produces a second magnetic field that opposes the first magnetic field to thereby uncouple the robotic arm from the surgical table.
Surgical table base with high stiffness and adjustable support members with force feedback
Apparatus and methods for providing a surgical table base with sufficient stiffness and adjustable support members with force feedback are described herein. In some embodiments, a base for a surgical table includes a base body to which other components of a surgical table can be coupled. A surgical table, and optionally a patient supportable by the surgical table, and any equipment to be carried by the surgical table, collectively representing a table load to be carried by the base body to support the surgical table on a surface. The base further includes a support assembly coupled to the base body to support the base body on the surface. The support assembly includes at least four support members. Each support member has a surface-engaging end and can transmit a portion of a total load represented by the weight of the base and the table load through the surface-engaging end to the surface. The surface-engaging ends of any three of the four support members define a plane. One of the support members is adjustable to move the one support member relative to a plane defined by the three of the other support members and thereby to change the portion of the total load carried by one of the support members. The base further includes a load sensor operably coupled to the support assembly and disposed to detect the portion of the total load carried by one of the support members.
