Segmented bending system for an amusement park attraction

A segmented bending system includes multiple linkages coupled to one another in a stacked arrangement. The segmented bending system also includes multiple rotation assemblies coupled to one another to extend through the multiple linkages. The multiple rotation assemblies include multiple cam members, and each cam member of the multiple members extends into a respective opening formed in a corresponding linkage of the multiple linkages. At least one cam member of the multiple cam members is offset from at least one other cam member of the multiple cam members in a circumferential direction about a center axis of the multiple rotation assemblies.

Methods and systems are provided for providing real world assistance by a robot utility and interface device (RUID) are provided. A method provides for identifying a position of a user in a physical environment and a surface within the physical environment for projecting an interactive interface. The method also provides for moving to a location within the physical environment based on the position of the user and the surface for projecting the interactive interface. Moreover, the method provides for capturing a plurality of images of the interactive interface while the interactive interface is being interacted with by the use and for determining a selection of an input option made by the user.

Electromagnetic game board

An electromagnetic game board includes a configurable grid of electromagnets under a game board to move game pieces on the board. Alternative to electromagnets is acoustic levitation through soundwave. In an oscillating electric field (four sides), a magnet can create excite ultrasound that quickly contract and rebound its original shape to push out pulses of air.

A robotic mount is configured to move an entertainment element such as a video display, a video projector, a video projector screen or a camera. The robotic mount is moveable in multiple degrees of freedom, whereby the associated entertainment element is moveable in three-dimensional space. In one embodiment, a system of entertainment elements are made to move and operate in synchronicity with each other, such as to move a single camera via multiple robotic mounts to one or more positions or along one or more paths.

MOBILE BODY, METHOD OF CONTROLLING MOBILE BODY, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE

To prompt generation of a new motion of a mobile body. The mobile body includes: a blending parameter setting section that sets a blending parameter; a motion generator that is configured to be able to generate a third motion by blending, into a predetermined first motion as a motion of the mobile body, a predetermined second motion as a motion of the mobile body different from the first motion with a reflection degree corresponding to the blending parameter set by the blending parameter setting section; and a motion controller that is configured to be able to reflect the third motion generated by the motion generator to a motion to be actually performed by the mobile body.

Extended reality ride test assembly for amusement park system

An amusement park attraction includes a ride vehicle configured to travel along a path of the amusement park attraction, an attraction controller configured to generate virtual elements, and a robot assembly disposed on the ride vehicle. The head of the robot assembly is configured to adjust positions relative to the ride vehicle. The amusement park attraction further includes a headset communicatively coupled to the attraction controller and a camera disposed in the head of the robot assembly. The headset is configured to be disposed on the head of the robot assembly. The headset is also configured to display the virtual elements generated by the attraction controller based on a headset position in the amusement park attraction. The camera is configured to acquire data indicative of the virtual elements displayed by the headset.

The present invention relates to a method for operating an amusement park (1) for at least one visitor (5) and having at least one attraction (2), wherein at least one exoskeleton unit (30) comprising at least one movement device (32) is provided for the at least one visitor (5) and the at least one exoskeleton unit (30) forces at least one movement or stance upon the at least one visitor (5). In addition, the present invention relates to an amusement park.

LEGGED HIGH-DEXTERITY SELF-BALANCING CAPABLE ROBOT ACTOR

A robot actor, or character mobility hardware platform, adapted to unleash or provide a wide variety of characters in the physical world. The robot actor enables the often screen-constrained characters to become life-like, interactive participants with nearby people in ways not presently achievable. The robot actor is an untethered, free-roaming robot that is has two (or more) legs, is adapted for high dexterity, is controlled and designed to be self-balancing, and, due to this combination of characteristics, the robot can provide characters with an illusion of life and, in many cases, in correct proportion and scale. The hardware and software of the robot actor will become a new generation of animatronic figures by providing a hardware platform capable of continuously evolving to become more capable through advances in controls and artificial intelligence (AI).
