The first jaw is rotatable relative to the second jaw between an open position and a close position to capture tissue therebetween. The electrode is configured to conduct a sub-therapeutic RF current to the tissue. The control circuit is operably coupled to the electrode. The control circuit is configured to measure impedance of the tissue over time based on the sub-therapeutic RF current. The closure member is configured to move the first jaw towards the second jaw at a closure rate based on the impedance of the tissue. The firing member is configured to move within the end effectors towards a fired position at a firing rate based on the impedance of the tissue.

ADAPTIVE NAVIGATION USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR ENHANCING TASK PERFORMANCE IN AUTONOMOUS ROAMING ROBOTIC DEVICES

Optimizing sensing capabilities of a roaming robotic device using Artificial Intelligence (AI) includes receiving data at a control system having a computer from a robotic device. The control system communicating a policy to the robotic device for choosing navigation actions for the robotic device. The received data is analyzed using the control system for determining when the received data meets a threshold for determining quality of the data. The analysis can include generating a model based on the received data where the model includes vector representation of inputs detected by a sensor array at the location. In response to the received data at the control system not meeting the threshold for determining quality, the robotic device communicating with the control system to collaborate in updating the policy to choose a next action.

Cooperation Among Mobile Robots Using 5G/6G Communications
20230158664 · 2023-05-25 ·

The future of manufacturing, agriculture, distribution, healthcare, and virtually every other labor-intensive endeavor is robotic - a multitude of autonomous, mobile, robotic systems. One of the many problems this will bring is the coordination of independently-navigating robots in limited spaces. Communication is the key to coordination. Examples herein provide means for robots to identify and localize each other in real-time using pulses of visible or infrared light, synchronized with wireless messages in 5G or 6G. For example, a fixed-position robot such as an assembly device can identify a mobile robot bringing raw components, by exchanging synchronized pulses and messages. Busy robots in a distribution center can avoid collisions and improve throughput by coordinating with other proximate robots, using the communication tools provided herein. Fixed-position robots can enforce boundary conditions and provide oversight, keeping innumerable mobile devices in-lane and on-task. Many other aspects and applications are provided.
