Temporary holder for transferring end of wire between end effectors
Methods and apparatus for temporarily holding one end of a wire on a harness form board during automated transfer from one robot to another robot. The apparatus includes a wire holding device which is designed to facilitate the transfer of a wire end from a first end effector of a first robot to a second end effector of a second robot. The wire holding devices have different structures, but share the common feature that opening of the wire holding device (to enable wire insertion) involves applying a contact force which overcomes a spring force that urges the wire holding device to be closed. The end effectors are designed and their movements are controlled in a manner such that the moving end effector applies the contact force necessary to overcome the closure-inducing spring force being exerted.

The robot is configured to be controlled by one of a user in a remote location, a user at the cell tower site, and autonomously via direct programing.
Automated machine for unloading and transferring cut and trimmed poultry meat pieces
An automated unloading machine for unloading cut and trimmed raw poultry meat pieces from an upstream poultry meat cutting machine. The automated unloading machine is operably associated with a feed conveyer configured to support the cut and trimmed poultry meat pieces provided by the meat cutting machine. The automated unloading machine comprises one of an exit conveyor movable in a second direction and a packaging machine, an electronic controller configured to receive and process position and orientation data of the poultry meat pieces located on the feed conveyer, and a robotic picking device operatively associated with the electronic controller and configured to pick the poultry meat pieces from the feed conveyer and place them onto one of the exit conveyor and the packaging machine so that the cut and trimmed poultry meat pieces are arranged on one of the exit conveyor and the packaging machine in a desired orientation.
ROBOTIC GRIPPER APPARATUS
A robotic gripper apparatus for an automated additive manufacturing production system (AAMPS) includes a pair of gripping assemblies. Each gripping assembly is moveable in a transverse direction between a first position in which the gripping assembly engages an AAMPS workpiece and a second position in which the gripping assembly is disengaged from the AAMPS workpiece. Each gripping assembly includes a gripping element that defines an interface slot configured to receive the AAMPS workpiece. The interface slot is defined by a pair of transversely extending edges of the gripping element and a longitudinal edge of the gripping element disposed between the pair of transversely extending edges.
Slide rack gripper apparatus
A slide rack gripper apparatus is provided that simultaneously conveys a plurality of glass slides in the protection of a slide rack within a digital slide scanning apparatus. The slide rack gripper apparatus conveys the plurality of glass slides from a slide rack carousel to a scanning stage for processing. The slide rack gripper includes a first motor attached to a base configured to drive a finger mount attached to the base along a first linear axis. The slide rack gripper apparatus also includes a second motor attached to the finger mount and configured to drive opposing gripper fingers attached to the finger mount along a second linear axis. The second motor is also configured to drive individual gripper fingers along a third linear axis to move the gripper fingers toward each other and away from each other to grasp or release a slide rack.
FILM PEELING APPARATUS AND FILM PEELING METHOD USING THE SAME
A film peeling apparatus for peeling a film from an object includes a peeling module including a first frame, a second frame connected to the first frame and including a rotation body and a gripper which grips the film attached to the object and to be removed from the object, and is rotatable about a rotation axis of the rotation body connecting the first frame and the gripper, and a third frame defining a boundary at which the film to be removed is peeled from the object, and an articulated robot including an articulated arm connected to the first frame.
ROBOTIC END EFFECTOR SYSTEM
An end effector system can include: an optional actuator; an optional utensil mating connector; and a utensil. The utensil can include: a set of scoops; a set of mechanical linkages; a set of ingressive elements; and/or any other suitable components. However, the end effector system can additionally or alternatively include any other suitable set of components. The end effector system functions to facilitate picking of ingredients (e.g., foodstuffs), ingredient transformation, and/or ingredient insertion (e.g., at a target foodstuff container and/or placement location) via a grasp cavity of the utensil. Additionally or alternatively, the end effector system can function to shape a profile of ingredients (e.g., upon insertion). Additionally or alternatively, the end effector system can function to evacuate ingredients from the grasp cavity (e.g., clearing out ingredients adhering to the utensil).
Instrument interface for robotic surgical instrument
A robotic surgical instrument, comprising: a shaft; an end effector element; an articulation at a distal end of the shaft for articulating the end effector element, the articulation comprising a first joint permitting the end effector to adopt a range of configurations relative to the longitudinal axis of the shaft, the first joint being driveable by a first pair of driving elements; and an instrument interface at a proximal end of the shaft, comprising: a chassis formed from the securement of a first chassis portion to a second chassis portion, wherein the first pair of driving elements are secured relative to the chassis, the chassis portions being configured to be secured together by sliding the chassis portions relative to each other in a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft.
System and methods for robotic precision placement and insertion
A system and methods are disclosed for precision placement or insertion of an object using robotic manipulation. A robotic tool includes at least three members, including a first member and a second member that grip the object between opposing faces and a third member that exerts a force on a proximate end of the object to push the object out of the robotic tool. A series of maneuvers is performed with the robotic tool in order to place the object on a surface or insert the object in a hole. The maneuvers include positioning the object against the surface, rotating the object around a contact point between the object and the surface, rotating the robotic tool around a contact point between the object and either the first or second member of the robotic tool, sliding the object horizontally along a surface, and tucking the object into a final desired position.
