SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A ROBOTIC ARM
20250229442 · 2025-07-17 ·

A robotic assembly associated with gripping an object may determine, using an angle sensor, a relative position of a first gripping arm in relation to a second gripping arm of a robotic assembly. The robotic assembly may separate, using an actuator, the first gripping arm and the second gripping arm of the robotic assembly. The robotic assembly may position the gripping arms around an object, so the first gripping arm and second gripping arm accommodate the object. The robotic assembly may then join the first gripping arm and the second gripping arm until the first roller, second roller, and third roller are in contact with the object. The robotic assembly may apply pressure to the object using a plurality of compression springs between the first gripping arm and second gripping arm allowing the robotic assembly to grip the object.

Gripper device

A gripper device is configured to pick up a pliable food product having a tail-like part from a pick-up area and releasing it at a releasing area, where a support is provided. A pair of jaws is mounted to the support for movement of distal ends thereof towards each other defining a closing position of the pair of jaws and away from each other defining an open position of the pair of jaws. A tail bender device is attached to the support and adjacent to one end of the pair of jaws. The tail bender device is moveable in relation to the pair of jaws and is configured to bend the tail-like part while transferring the food product from the pick-up area until releasing it at the releasing area.

A gripping assembly for use with an automated sorting or manufacturing assembly is disclosed. The gripping assembly includes two or more fingers and alignment attributes for precisely picking up objects (e.g., objects placed in a random orientation). The gripping assembly includes the intrinsic ability to retrieve and align objects predictably by including fingers machined to specific characteristics, such that when roughly located to pick up the object, the closing of the fingers orients the object precisely allowing further manipulation of the object from a known object orientation. The fingers of the device can be aligned with precision using optional alignment features such as sliding within tabs fixed to one finger or sliding along a stabilizing pin fixed to one finger.

Assembly apparatus and structure fabricating method

An assembly apparatus is for assembling a first member and a second member. The assembly apparatus includes a first gripping section, a second gripping section, and a driving section. The first gripping section includes a contact member and an elastic member. The second gripping section includes a contact member and an elastic member. The driving section drives the first and second gripping sections. The driving section drives the first and second gripping sections such that the contact member of the first gripping section and the contact member of the second gripping section make contact with the second member. The first and second gripping sections grip the second member through the two elastic members urging the respective contact members. The driving section drives the first and second gripping sections such that the first member and the second member are assembled.

MECHANICAL GRASPING END EFFECTOR WITH HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL MOVEMENT

A mechanical device for grasping an object without a power source includes a receiver and at least one grabber assembly secured to the receiver. The grabber assembly includes first and second arms with proximal end portions and distal end portions, hooks disposed at the distal end portions, and a mechanical linkage disposed near the proximal end portion of the first arm and the second arm. The mechanical linkage kinematically couples the first arm to the second arm. Displacement of the first arm or the second arm against the object causes movement of the mechanical linkage and thus movement of the second arm or first arm, respectively.

Self-lifting robot with automatic release and multi-jointed arm

Disclosed is a self-lifting robot with multi-jointed arm. The robot includes a multipart housing, a traction drivetrain capable of generating translational and rotational motion of the self-lifting robot on a working surface, and a deployment hook configured to release from a storage hanger, thus depositing the self-lifting robot onto the working surface, and configured to re-attach to the storage hanger, thus lifting the self-lifting robot off of the working surface. The robot also includes a multi jointed arm, and a grabber disposed from a free-rotating wrist joint at a distal end of the multi-jointed arm, and configured to grab, hold, and release one or more target objects.

Gripping unit and component as well as releasable connection of both

A gripping unit for the automated assembly of a component having at least one holding region may include at least one assembly gripper configured to grip the component in the at least one holding region. The at least one assembly gripper may include two gripping fingers that may be axially adjustable towards one another into a gripping position where the component is securable between the two gripping fingers, and that may be axially adjustable away from one another into a released position where the component is releasable from the two gripping fingers. The two gripping fingers may include a first gripping finger having a first gripping contour and a second gripping finger having a second gripping contour. The first gripping contour and the second gripping contour may be structured complimentary to the at least one holding region of the component.
