ARTICULATED MANIPULATOR FOR NAVIGATING AND SERVICING A HEAT EXCHANGER
A manipulator configured to navigate a heat exchanger including a plurality of tubes extending through a tubesheet is disclosed herein, the manipulator including a first end effector, a second end effector, and an articulation assembly. The first end effector is configured to accommodate an instrument configured to service the heat exchanger and includes a first actuator configured to extend a first gripper into a tube of the plurality of tubes. The second end effector includes a second actuator configured to extend a second gripper into a tube of the plurality of tubes. The first and second gripper are configured to secure the manipulator to the tubesheet, and, when the second gripper is securing the manipulator to the tubesheet, the articulation assembly is configured to enable the first end effector to move relative to the second end effector in a plane that is parallel to the tubesheet.
Gripper for spools
A gripper for finding, clamping and releasing spools having a circular grip part such as a flange or a bore hole as well as a method to operate such gripper. The gripper has a driveable clamp that is provided with a scanning system comprising ‘presence-absence detectors’ that detect the presence or the absence of the circular grip part. The gripper is slowly moved over the flange of the spool and by means of the detectors and some calculation the centre of the grip part is identified followed by the gripping of the spool. The gripper has the advantage that no back-and-forth movement is needed in order to locate the circular grip part and that the superfluous motion of the gripper is prevented.
Universal gripper for tote and sub-tote transport
A universal gripper is disclosed for transferring totes and sub-totes, for example in an order fulfillment center. The universal gripper includes adjustable tines and pins capable of being positioned to engage within slots in the different configurations of totes and sub-totes.
Tray feeder tray pulling mechanism
A tray feeder mechanism comprising a plurality of trays within a tray feeder, each tray including a tray handle, and a gripper positioned within a gripping area defined by the tray handles, wherein the gripper is configured to remove a tray from the tray feeder when the tray feeder stops.
End Effectors for Robotic Units Used to Open and Close Vehicle Doors
An end effector is disclosed that is configured for connection to a robotic unit used to manipulate a door of a vehicle (e.g., during vehicle painting). The end effector includes a base plate; a sensor that is supported by the base plate; and a piston that is configured for engagement with the door. The piston is operatively connected to an interrupter such that movement (displacement) of the piston causes corresponding movement (displacement) of the interrupter between a first position, in which the interrupter is positioned in alignment with a signal transmitted across the sensor to interfere with the signal and thereby interrupt circuit completion, and a second position, in which the interrupter is out of alignment with the signal transmitted across the sensor to permit circuit completion and thereby inform the robotic unit that the door is present and engaged with the end effector.
Method and System for Coil Stacking
A method and system for stacking coils in which a coil stacker lifting head can be used to raise one or more coils from a conveyor assembly. The coil stacker lifting head can be automatically actuated using a actuating cylinder and a counter balance cylinder. The coil stacker lifting head can include an expanding mandrel to grab opposite edges of the coil and lift the coil. One or more of the coils can be lifted from a conveyor assembly by the coil stacker lifting head. After the one or more coils are lifted, a carriage assembly can transport the lifted one or more coils to a desired position. Once the one or more coils reach the desired position, the one or more coils are lowered to a surface. Upon reaching the surface, the mandrel automatically collapses to release the one or more coils and the mandrel is released from the coils.
Transport tool for transporting a laboratory article
A transport tool for transporting a laboratory article using a pipette of a pipetting system and having a plug-in sleeve at a top end, an article holder at a bottom end, and a connecting part which connects the plug-in sleeve to the article holder. The plug-in sleeve has a side sleeve wall and a bottom which surround an interior space of the plug-in sleeve having a cylindrical and conically tapering shape. The plug-in sleeve further has an upward-facing opening for receiving an end of a pipette of an automated pipetting system. The connecting part has a top surface which defines the bottom of the plug-in sleeve, is positioned between the interior space of the plug-in sleeve and the article holder. The article holder has a holding plate which is flat and faces downward away from the plug-in sleeve, and further has a flatly acting magnet on the holding plate.

The present disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for assembling cartridges for aerosol delivery devices. The cartridges may be assembled by transporting carriages between various substations at which parts are added to a base. In another assembly method, the base may be moved between a plurality of robots which direct the base downwardly into contact with components to couple the components therewith. An inspection system may inspect the cartridges at various stages of completion.
Apparatus for heating plastic preforms with stationary applicator
An apparatus for heating plastic preforms with a transport device which includes holding devices for holding the plastic preforms and wherein the transport path has at least one heating portion inside which the plastic preforms are heated, and with a heating device arranged stationarily at least in portions along the transport path and which heats the plastic preforms transported by the transport device during their transport through the heating portion, wherein the heating device has at least one in particular stationary applicator device which is configured for bombarding the plastic preforms with microwaves to heat them. In the heating portion, the transport device is arranged relative to the applicator device such that at least parts of the holding devices are arranged outside the applicator device, wherein the applicator device is configured to receive several plastic preforms simultaneously for at least some of the time.
Alignment Device
An alignment device has a support base attached to a conveying device, and a mounting plate to which a gripping member is attached, and the mounting plate is transferably abutted on a fastening holder that is fixed to the support base. A movable ring fixed to the mounting plate has a sliding part that is transferably engaged with the fastening holder. A first holding mechanism arranged between the fastening holder and the mounting plate locks the mounting plate to the fastening holder. A second holding mechanism provided between the fastening holder and the movable ring cancels a first-direction force of the mounting plate.
