An object manipulation apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a memory and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to: calculate, based on an image in which one or more objects to be grasped are contained, an evaluation value of a first behavior manner of grasping the one or more objects; generate information representing a second behavior manner based on the image and a plurality of evaluation values of the first behavior manner; and control actuation of grasping the object to be grasped in accordance with the information being generated.

The linkage system includes three or more links comprising a central link that is pivotably coupled to the frame, a first link coupled between a first piston and a first end of the central link, and a second link coupled between a second piston and a second end of the central link. The linkage system is arranged to synchronize motion between the first and second pistons. The pistons are further coupled to the slidable plates such that synchronized movement of the pistons translates into synchronized motion of the slidable plates. The parallel gripper is readily adaptable for use in gripper applications; and it is simple to service without the necessity for costly high tolerance and high precision parts.

A self-propelled gripper is installed on a robotic arm. The robotic arm includes a body and a tip axis. The self-propelled gripper includes a housing, a rotation element, a moving element, and at least one claw body. The housing is fixed on the body. The rotation element is disposed in the housing and secured with the tip axis. The moving element is movably disposed in the housing and is connected to the rotation element. The moving element includes at least one slot. The claw body is pivoted on the housing and partially extends in the corresponding slot. When the rotation element rotates along with the tip axis, the rotation element drives the moving element to process a linear motion along a rotation central line so that the claw body pivotally rotates on the housing.
