Object capturing device, capture target, and object capturing system
An object capturing device includes light emission, receiving, and scanning units, and distance calculation, and object determination units. The scanning unit measures light from the emission unit to head toward a measurement target space to perform scanning, and to guide reflected light from the object with respect to the measurement light to the receiving unit. The distance calculation unit calculates a distance to the object in association with a scanning angle of the scanning unit. The object determination unit determines whether the object is a capture target based on whether a scanning angle range within which a difference between distances is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value corresponding to a reference scanning angle range of the capture target, and a determination of whether intensity distribution of the reflected light within the scanning angle range corresponds to reference intensity distribution of the reflected light from the capture target.
Image processing device, control method thereof, and program storage medium
The image processing device according to the invention includes: a first acquisition unit to acquire a captured image; a display control unit to display a setting screen to allow to user to set an image processing area, which is an area where predetermine image processing is performed, in the image acquired by the first acquisition unit on a display device; and a second acquisition unit configured to acquire movable range information indicating a movable range of a working device, operations of which are controlled on the basis of a result of the predetermined image processing. The display control unit controls the display of the setting screen so as to cause the user to identify a range in which the working device is not able to operate in the image, on the basis of the movable range information acquired by the second acquisition unit.
ROBOT CONTROL DEVICE, ROBOT, ROBOT CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM
Disclosed are a robot control device and the like with which the accuracy with which a robot starts listening to speech is improved, without requiring a user to perform an operation. This robot control device is provided with: an action executing means which, upon detection of a person, determines an action to be executed with respect to said person, and performs control in such a way that a robot executes the action; an assessing means which, upon detection of a reaction from the person in response to the action determined by the action executing means, assesses the possibility that the person will talk to the robot, on the basis of the reaction; and an operation control means which controls an operating mode of the robot main body on the basis of the result of the assessment performed by the assessing means.
Robotic end effector interface systems
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods, computer program products, and computer systems of a robotic apparatus with robotic instructions replicating a food preparation recipe. In one embodiment, a robotic control platform, comprises one or more sensors; a mechanical robotic structure including one or more end effectors, and one or more robotic arms; an electronic library database of minimanipulations; a robotic planning module configured for real-time planning and adjustment based at least in part on the sensor data received from the one or more sensors in an electronic multi-stage process file, the electronic multi-stage process recipe file including a sequence of minimanipulations and associated timing data; a robotic interpreter module configured for reading the minimanipulation steps from the minimanipulation library and converting to a machine code; and a robotic execution module configured for executing the minimanipulation steps by the robotic platform to accomplish a functional result.

Position detector and method for 3D position determination
A position detector for generating 3D position information of an object in a position determination space for the object. The position detector has a camera with a lens and an image sensor that defines an imaging area with one first light deflecting element arranged in the imaging area as the camera and the at least one light deflecting element are adapted to simultaneously produce on the image sensor at least two images of the position determination space, a first image being produced by light beams deflected at the first light deflecting element, the at least two images differ with respect to the viewing direction of the position determination space.
Cover for robots and detection system
Provided is a cover for an industrial robot, in which the cover does not interfere with robot movements, and ensures a fragment broken from the cover to be detected as a foreign substance, even if the fragment is mixed into a workpiece. Further provided is a detection system for detecting a fragment of the broken cover. In the robot, as an exemplary embodiment, an upper bellows cover and a lower bellows cover, which are members for enclosing a movable part of the robot, are configured to be wearable on the robot which is, for example, an industrial four-axis robot. A portion of the cover, enclosing such movable part as a shaft of the robot, is configured to be expandable, and made of a material in which a metal powder is kneaded into a substrate, which is a sheet made of rubber, resin, or elastomer.
MECHANICAL TOWER CLIMBER FOR OPERATIONS ON CELL TOWERS
A mechanical tower climber system for performing operations on a cell tower includes a body; a plurality of members disposed or connected to the body and each comprising one or more robotic hands; and a wireless interface and a processing device configured to receive commands from a remote operator; climb the cell tower based on the commands; and perform one or more operations on cell site components associated with the cell tower based on the commands and manipulation of the plurality of members and associated one or more robotic hands.
AUTOMATED CREEL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING SAME
Systems and methods for loading and delivering stalk subassemblies and yarn packages are disclosed herein. Such systems and methods can have at least one processor, at least one automated guided vehicle, at least one creel assembly, and an automated creel loading assembly. The at least one automated guided vehicle can be communicatively coupled to the at least one processor. The at least one processor can be configured to selectively direct an automated guided vehicle to engage a respective stalk subassembly. Upon engagement between the automated guided vehicle and the stalk subassembly, the processor can be configured to selectively direct the automated guided vehicle to move about and between the selected operative position within the creel assembly and a loading position proximate the automated creel loading assembly.
