RETRACTABLE KNIFE FOR RAPID MANUAL DEPLOYMENT WHILE FULLY GRASPED
A self-defense pocket knife with handle of suitable proportion to be grasped in closed fist and a conveyance system configured for the emergency manual conveyance of a blade from a position for storage to a position for use without requiring the user to appreciably alter or compromise grip upon the handle during the course of such conveyance.

Bit retention mechanism
A blade retention mechanism that includes a body and a catch. The catch is configured to engage a bit. A knurled nut is configured to engage the catch and the body such that it is movable. When the nut is moved between a first position and a second position the catch moves between a first position and a second position. A v-groove is formed in the body and is configured to receive and retain a bit when the catch is in the first position.

Folding knife
A folding knife includes a handle, a first liner inside the handle, and a second liner inside the handle and opposed to tire first liner. A blade has a tang and a cutting edge, and the tang of the blade pivotally connects the blade between the first and second liners. The blade has a retracted position in which the cutting edge is inside the handle and a deployed position in which the cutting edge is outside the handle. An actuator is at least partially between the first and second liners. A screw inside the handle has a first end opposed to a second end. The first end of the screw is engaged with the first liner, and the second end of the screw is threadingly engaged with the second liner.

Easily disassembled folding knife
A folding knife includes a handle and a blade pivotably coupled to a distal portion of the handle. The handle includes first side portion including a first locking portion laterally offset from a first main body and second side portion including a second locking portion laterally offset from a second main body. The first side portion is configured to rotate about the pivot axis between a locking configuration where the first locking portion is disposed between the second main body and second locking portion, an opening in the second locking portion and a recess in the first locking portion are aligned, and a locking button is disposed within the recess and opening, thereby restricting relative movement of the first and second side portions, and a release configuration where the locking button is pushed out of the opening, thereby allowing relative movement of the first and second side portions.

Polymer Balisong knife and latch for a Balisong knife
A Balisong knife includes a latch that resists compression of the back end of the handles towards each other under grip pressure by the user, thus increasing the columns strength of the handles when the knife is in a latched open configuration. A crossmember is provided adjacent to the latch pivot, resisting movement of the latch into any position wherein interference between the latch and tip of the blade could occur. Integral, friction reducing surfaces are provided on components of the knife. The knife can be assembled using snap fit pivot pins. The blade includes portions of varying thickness, providing additional thickness in the region of the points for greater strength, while allowing center edges for more effective cutting.
