A knife including a body with a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a longitudinal axis that extends centrally through the first end and the second end. The knife further includes a first scoring tip that points in a first direction, a second scoring tip that points in a second direction opposite the first direction, and a scoring tip axis that extends centrally through the first scoring tip and the second scoring tip. The scoring tip axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A chisel extends from the second end of the body and the longitudinal axis of the body extends centrally through the chisel.

The invention may include a knife having a syringe hub remover. In one embodiment, the invention may include a hub slot that may be integral to the knife tang and that may further be configured to be positioned over a syringe hub and allow for an improved leveraged torque force to be applied thereby twisting and ultimately assisting in the removal of the syringe hub.

A single-action convertible utility knife and scraper includes a carriage and a slide mechanism slidably mounted within a housing. A blade support is pivotally mounted on the carriage for movements of a blade between cutting and scraper orientations. The carriage and the slide mechanism can be moved by an external button between a retracted position wherein the blade support is fully retracted within the housing, an extended position wherein the blade support is in an operative cutting or scraping position and a conversion position wherein the blade support is moved forwardly of the extended position to enable the blade support to transition from one orientation to another while clearing the housing. A bi-stable mechanism alternatingly pivots the blade support between the first and second orientations when the external button is successively advanced to move the slide mechanism forwardly beyond the extended position to incrementally advanced positions.

A knife is disclosed having a handle with first and second half handles, a blade containing portion for securing a blade and an opening in a top surface of handle and first and second ends to contain the blade in a folded closed position. The knife includes a hook portion on a posterior end of the blade and a cutting surface portion on an anterior end; a nut and bolt system passing through the blade near the posterior end and both half handles terminating at on outside portion of each half handle enabling the blade to rotate between open and closed positions. A spring bar is integrated in a central portion of the first half handle, attached to the first half handle at a posterior end and including a ball pin on an anterior end of the spring bar, the ball pin enabled to engage the blade in various positions.

Provided is a tool that includes a handle assembly including a top portion and a bottom portion. The tool also includes a lock plate disposed between the top and bottom portions and having a deflectable arm having a free end biased towards the top portion, a fixed end opposite the free end, an inner edge, an outer edge, and a detent near the free end and the inner edge. A tool is provided that includes unitary plate that includes a blade portion and a tang portion. The blade portion can include an edge. The tool additionally includes a blade having first and second ends, an indent in a bottom surface of the blade near the first end for engaging the detent in a closed position, and a ramp on the bottom surface near the indent defining a reduced thickness portion of the blade that reduces in thickness from the indent towards an edge of the blade to reduce contact between the detent and the blade during rotation of the blade.
