A knife includes a knife body having two liners and a blade positioned between the two liners. The knife further includes two scales, each scale being removably coupled to one of the two liners. Each scale is configured for use as a tool separate from the knife body when removed from the knife body. A bottle opener may be formed in the knife body.

Disclosed is a hand held implement for performing a multitude of tasks in a manner which could not previously be performed by a singular hand held implement. Some exemplary embodiments of the present invention comprise a handle, shovel, blade, hammer and prying member configured in an ideal manner. This ideal configuration provides a hand held implement in which the safety, functionality and efficiency of use is greater than was previously provided by the state of the art. A proximal end of the present invention preferably comprises a prying member. A distal end of the present invention preferably comprises a shovel. A forward portion of the present invention preferably comprises a blade disposed along said shovel and extending towards said proximal end. A rearward portion of the present invention preferably comprises a hammer disposed along said shovel.

Conventional herb strippers can be tedious, time consuming, and awkward to use. Accordingly, the present inventors devised new tools and methods that allow faster and easier herb stripping. One tool includes an herb stripping notch configured to engage the plant stem of an herb at an intermediate point between its two ends, with the edges of the notch stripping leaves as the notch is moved over the stem or the stem is pulled through the notch. In some embodiments, one or more of these notches, for example six, are included in a blade structure, with the notches arranged in a smallest-to-largest sequence. The blade structure may also includes a knife edge, enabling it to serve the added function of a knife.

A grating knife assembly combining elements of a knife and a cheese grater includes a knife that is selectively manipulated thereby facilitating the knife to cut a food item. The knife has a blade and a handle. The blade is structured to selectively frictionally engage an object to abrade debris from the object.

Provided is a tool that includes a handle assembly including a top portion and a bottom portion. The tool also includes a lock plate disposed between the top and bottom portions and having a deflectable arm having a free end biased towards the top portion, a fixed end opposite the free end, an inner edge, an outer edge, and a detent near the free end and the inner edge. The tool additionally includes a blade having first and second ends, an indent in a bottom surface of the blade near the first end for engaging the detent in a closed position, and a ramp on the bottom surface near the indent defining a reduced thickness portion of the blade that reduces in thickness from the indent towards an edge of the blade to reduce contact between the detent and the blade during rotation of the blade.

A culinary tool (100) suitable for both cutting and transporting food includes a tool member (101) and a handle (108). The tool member (101) begins at an asymmetrical base region (102) and tapers along a major face (103) of the tool member (101) to a distal tip (104). A curvilinear medial ridge (105) begins at the asymmetrical base region (102) and passes along the major face (103), thereby defining a cutting portion (106) and a spatula portion (107). The cutting portion (106) sometimes the distal tip and occupies less of the major face (103) by area than does the spatula portion (107). The handle (108) is affixed to the tool member (101) along the asymmetrical base region (102). The culinary tool (100) can be used in either a cutting mode or a spatula mode.

The invention relates to a novel knife with fire igniting capabilities as part of the knife itself. More specifically, the present invention provides for both a knife, and fire starting capability in one piece, which are both crucial to outdoor survival and useful in general camping and hiking activities. The handle can be hollow to contain a small survival kit, and the grips can be wrapped in paracord for other multiple outdoor survival uses.

A cutter includes a handle, a blade unit and a lock. The handle includes a slot in an end. The blade unit includes a holder and a blade. The holder includes an insert extending from a sheath. The sheath includes two channels made with small width so that a finger cannot be inserted into any of the channels. The insert is adapted for insertion in the slot. The blade is inserted in the sheath, with two exposed portions exposed to the exterior of the sheath through the channels. The lock is connected to the handle near the slot and movable between a locking position for keeping the insert in the slot and a releasing position for allowing the insert to leave the slot.

An embodiment includes a cutting tool having a multi-grip handle. The multi-grip handle includes an end grip surface and a pair of grip surfaces. The cutting tool includes a connecting region having a first cutting edge, where the pair of grip surfaces are positioned between the end grip surface and the first cutting edge. The cutting tool includes a blade connected to the multi-grip handle via the connecting region and having a second cutting edge.

A cutter includes a main body and a cutting unit. One end of the main body has a cutting head. A top edge of the cutting head is provided with a protection rib extending in the direction of a short axis of the main body. Two ends of the protection rib are provided with two protection pieces disposed apart from the main body. The cutting head, the protection rib and the protection pieces cover the cutting unit. The cutting unit has pointed end portions protruding out of two sides of a top surface of the protection rib and a cutting-edge portion protruding out of a bottom surface of the protection rib. The pointed end portions and the cutting-edge portion can be used to remove various packing members. The protection pieces are disposed apart from the main body. The present invention can enhance the work efficiency to remove packing members.
