20180147737 · 2018-05-31 ·

A cutting device includes a support shaft; a first blade body which holds the support shaft; a rolling bearing which is mounted on the support shaft, and has an outer race and an inner race; a second blade body which is provided to overlap the first blade body, and is rotatably supported on the support shaft via the rolling bearing; a fixing member which is disposed on the support shaft on a side opposite to the first blade body across the rolling bearing; and a biasing member disposed between the rolling bearing and the fixing member. One of the outer race and the inner race rotates integrally with the second blade body, and the other of the outer race and the inner race is biased toward the first blade body by the biasing member.

Method of securing a pivot handled tool

Metal Snips

Hand tools which have an ergonomic using a palm handle and finger handle designs which achieve mechanical efficiency and ease of use. The ergonomic handle is compatible with the muscle movements of an operator using a hand tool reducing muscle strain and pain. Optionally, the palm and finger handles can have ergonomically designed cushions. In an embodiment, the finger handle can have a finger set which has a forward finger flange, a tail finger flange and a pinky grip. The ergonomic handle can also use a relief washer system to achieve a smooth low frictional resistance cutting stroke.

CUTTING TOOL WITH BLADE AND HANDLE OPENING CONTROL MECHANISM

A bypass pruning tool with a manual dial adjustment for varying the degree of blade and handle opening. A rotary drum dial uses a nautilus cam with a shaft cam-follower to provide adjustment of the blade and handle openings in a continuous range. A blade locking mechanism provides position closure of the blades.

ARRANGEMENT FOR AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF A SPACING BETWEEN CUTTING BLADES
20180042184 · 2018-02-15 ·

The invention relates to an adjustment device for automatic adjustment of a spacing between a first and a second cutting blade (21, 22; 51, 52), the first and second cutting blades being mounted so that the first and second contact surfaces (31, 32) are in contact with and parallel to each other; wherein at least one of the first and second cutting blades (21, 22; 51, 52) is displaceable to produce a cutting action between first and second cutting edges (23, 24). The first and second cutting blades are connected by at least one adjustment device (28; 50; 90) arranged to maintain the spacing between the first and second planar contact surfaces. The adjustment device (28; 50; 90) comprises a connector (34; 64; 79; 84; 94) extending through a recess in the respective first and second cutting blades at right angles to the first and second contact surfaces and arranged to guide the movement of the displaceable cutting blades relative to the other cutting blade; a first stop (33; 63; 102) fixed to one end of the connector (34; 64; 79; 84; 94) and arranged in contact with the outer surface of the second cutting blade; and an adjustment means (40; 70; 80; 100) located at the opposite end of the connector and arranged to apply a pre-tensioning force on the outer surface of the first cutting blade (21; 51) and maintain the first and second contact surfaces (31, 32) in contact.

RIVETING DEVICE FOR PRECISION ASSEMBLY
20180029199 · 2018-02-01 · ·

A riveting device for mutual assembly of two parts each including a bore, where the device includes a non-deformable external rivet having a tubular body suitable for being inserted into said bores and provided on one of the longitudinal ends thereof with a lip, and an internal rivet having a solid deformable cylindrical body and issuing substantially perpendicular from a flange, said tubular body having an external diameter slightly less than the diameter of said bores and a length D between the rear face of the lip thereof and the opposite end thereof at most equal to the sum of the thicknesses of the parts, said cylindrical body having an external homothetic transverse cross-section slightly less than the internal transverse cross-section of the tubular body, and a length slightly greater than that of the tubular body.

Bolt Cutter

A cutter comprises one or more blades, a hinge coupled to the blades, and one or more adjustable handles pivotally coupled to the hinge. When being adjusted, the one or more adjustable handles permit adjusting their positions with respect to the opposing handle without concurrently actuating the blades.
