Pill cutting and storage device
An apparatus for cutting includes a base, a fixed member attached to the base, where the fixed member includes a first cutting wedge, and a lever arm pivotably attached to the base and/or the fixed member at a pivot point. The lever arm includes a second cutting wedge, where the lever arm is positionable between an open position and a closed position. The first cutting wedge and the second cutting wedge are oriented perpendicular to the pivot point and the lever arm rotates to move the second cutting wedge to contact the first cutting wedge. A cutting surface of the first cutting wedge aligns with a cutting surface of the second cutting wedge when the lever arm is in the closed position.
Plastic tube fitting removal tool
A hand-held cutting tool to remove a metal fitting ring from the outside surface of plastic tubing. The fitting removal tool comprises a first handle, a second handle, a bridge member, and a cutting blade. The first handle is pivotally connected to a first end of the bridge member by a pivot. The second handle is securely connected to a second end of the bridge member in fixed relation to the bridge member. The bridge member comprises a seat for snugly receiving the outer diameter of the metal fitting ring. The first handle comprises a hand gripping area and a cutting blade positioned between the hand gripping area and the pivot. The cutting blade is configured to make an off center cut in the metal fitting ring such that the underlying plastic tubing is not damaged in the cutting process.
MAGNETIC NIPPERS
A magnetic nipper is provided. The magnetic nipper has a pair of elongate arms with opposed first and second surfaces. The pair of elongate arms are hingedly connected to allow the pair of elongate arms to rotate about an axle. The first and second surf aces each contain at least one magnet have a polarity such that the magnets repel.
Hand tool and method of using same
A work tool includes a tool handle assembly that is moveable between an open default position and a closed working position. The tool handle assembly is constructed with an upper tool handle assembly and a lower tool handle assembly where the upper tool handle assembly and the lower tool handle assembly are configured to be snap-fit together to enable pivotal movement between the upper tool handle assembly and the lower tool handle assembly. The tool handle assembly further includes an attack angle orientation assembly carried partially by the upper tool handle assembly and carried partially by the lower tool handle assembly to facilitate pivotally closing a pair of cutting blades to operate on a work piece; the cutting blades are carried into alignment with a cutting blade plane defined by an imaginary cutting plane line extending between proximal end portions of the upper tool handle assembly and the lower tool handle assembly to prevent the pair of cutting blades from over-cutting a work piece beyond the cutting blade plane. The tool handle assembly further includes a biasing member which is secured between the upper tool handle assembly and the lower tool handle assembly in order to bias the tool handle assembly to an open default position and in order to bias the pair of cutting blades into an object receiving open position.
CORNER-ROUNDING COMPRESSION CUTTER FOR ROOFING MATERIAL
A handheld punch cutting device for cutting rounded corners in flat roll roofing material. The cutting device comprises a pair of handles terminating in flat plate-like reciprocating jaws, the upper jaw having an arcuate compression cutting blade and the lower jaw having a flat compression cutting plate with raised, spaced guides for locating a corner of roofing material centrally beneath the cutting blade. The height of the guides is less than the height of the blade, and the blade directly and continuously contacts a substantially flat cutting surface on the compression plate in order to complete a cut.
Perforation apparatus for cable jackets and related systems and methods
A perforation apparatus for use with cable jackets and related systems and methods thereof is provided. The tool includes a pliers assembly having at least a first jaw member positioned opposing a second jaw member, wherein relative movement of the first and second jaw members is controlled with at least a first handle and a second handle. A first knife edge is on the first jaw member and a second knife edge is on the second jaw member. Each of the first and second knife edges are oriented substantially parallel to one another and substantially perpendicular to a length of first and second handles. The first and second knife edges are movable towards one another. A spacing device is connected to the pliers assembly, wherein the spacing device controls a closing distance between the first knife edge and the second knife edge.
