A surgical hair clipper assembly includes a clipper body and a blade assembly connected to the clipper body. The blade assembly includes a moveable blade configured to reciprocate to remove hair from a skin area and a blade housing that houses the moveable blade. The blade housing has a guide surface that faces the skin area during a hair removal process. A suction attachment includes a clipper attachment connected to the clipper body and a nozzle structure connected to the clipper attachment and extending distally to an end. The end is located no more than about ten millimeters proximal of a plane defined by the guide surface.

The bracket seats in the recess in a locked position of the locking mechanism such that movement of the blade assembly in an unlocking direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the at least one pin is prevented.
