Adjustable shaving blade assembly and razor
A shaving blade assembly (10) comprises a plurality of parallel blades (20) including a first blade (20) and a first rack-and-pinion mechanism (50) with a rack (51) coupled to the first blade (20) to actuate the first blade (20) in a first direction (M) orthogonal to a cutting edge (21) of the first blade (20). The shaving blade assembly (10) may be part of a razor (100,100′) and the position of the first blade (20) may be adjusted in the first direction (M) using a method comprising a step of actuating the first blade (20) in the first direction (M) through the rack-and-pinion mechanism (50).
Bit retention mechanism
A blade retention mechanism that includes a body and a catch. The catch is configured to engage a bit. A knurled nut is configured to engage the catch and the body such that it is movable. When the nut is moved between a first position and a second position the catch moves between a first position and a second position. A v-groove is formed in the body and is configured to receive and retain a bit when the catch is in the first position.
Battery powered electrical appliance for personal hygiene
The present invention relates to the field of battery powered electrical appliances or personal hygiene, in particular to a hair removal device such as an electric shaver or epilator as well as an electric toothbrush. A control device for a battery powered electrical appliance for personal hygiene is described, wherein the control device is adapted to cause the battery powered electrical appliance to perform automated contact fritting of a battery contact by controlling the battery powered electrical appliance such that a current pulse exceeding a wetting threshold is applied across the battery contact during a standby period.
Razor blade and manufacturing method thereof
The present disclosure provides a razor blade coating by a physical vapor deposition method through performing a deposition with a single composite target composed of dissimilar materials with their area ratio defined to be varied in the single composite target in the direction of transferring the razor blade subject to the deposition, thereby forming a single layer in which the composition ratio of the dissimilar materials gradually changes in the thickness direction of the coating layer to improve the durability of the razor blade coating layer.
Biodegradable disposable safely shaving razor
A biodegradable unisex disposable safety razor includes an ergonomic handle and a fixed head arranged on one end of the handle. The head includes a skin contacting surface, an internal process cavity with a single blade having a single cutting edge. The blade communicates with four independent passages located on the head. The device, which functions with no moving parts and/or electronics has an integrated and enhanced; skin lubrication system, an acoustic alert method for achieving an optimal shave, a method to alternate the shaving blade material temperature, dependent care assist functionality, a fully internal surface wetting antibacterial protection method, an external user safety protection guard, a post shave debris clean-out in conjunction to a fully internal material surface dry-out sanitization system aimed at improving the devices overall hygiene.
Adjustable head razor
A safety razor is provided having a blade head capable of having an adjustable angle relative to a grasping handle and an adjustability of tension of a pivot to the blade. The blade head is connected by an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the blade head that is substantially enclosed within a conduit formed within the grasping handle. The blade head is angularly adjustable between an angle >95° from a linear centerline of the handle to about 22° from the linear centerline of the handle. A blade head adapter may be further provided to allow for attachment and use of alternate existing blade head cartridges.
RAZOR CARTRIDGE
The present disclosure in some embodiments provides a razor cartridge comprising: at least one shaving blade having a cutting edge; a receiving base receiving the at least one shaving blade arranged in a first direction; a cap covering at least a portion of the receiving base; and a plurality of comb elements, at least some of which are disposed in front of the at least one shaving blade, the comb elements extending toward a front of the receiving base in a second direction that is not perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the plurality of comb elements comprise a top surface configured to define a shaving plane.
RAZOR CARTRIDGE
A razor cartridge comprising a frame, wherein the frame comprises a leading longitudinal member and a trailing longitudinal member and at least one transverse frame member defining a cartridge plane, disposed in between, and joining, the leading longitudinal member and the trailing longitudinal member, in a transverse direction of the razor cartridge. The at least one transverse frame member comprises a plurality of cutting member guides defining a plurality of cutting member support slots, each cutting member support slot configured to accommodate a longitudinal cutting member, and a plurality of longitudinal cutting members, wherein each cutting member is disposed in a respective cutting member support slot.
Razor components with novel coating
This invention relates to a novel application of liquid-infused surface materials (LISM) to at least a portion of one or more surfaces of razor components (e.g., frame, housing, clips, blade supports, blade body, blade edge, lubricating bodies, guard, handle, grip, button). If applied to a skin contacting surface of a component, the one or more LISM layers may generally be abrasion-resistant, long-lasting or non-erodible, desirably elevating shaving performance, such as glide, comfort, rinsing, and cleanliness, while also simplifying the manufacturing process.
Adapter for a handle and a cartridge of different razor systems
An adapter for coupling each of a razor handle and a razor cartridge together is provided. The adapter includes a cartridge engaging portion and a handle engaging portion. The handle engaging portion comprises at least one wall that defines a receptacle for receiving a razor handle and at least one handle protrusion extending from the at least one wall and configured to engage a central recess of a razor handle. The cartridge engaging portion is coupled with the handle engaging portion. The cartridge engaging portion comprises a stem that defines a first recess and a second recess for selectively engaging a first cartridge protrusion and a second cartridge protrusion and a tongue member slidably coupled with the stem and configured to contact a cartridge.
