Disposable garment and donning system

A donning system allows a user to don disposable garments without contaminating the exterior of the garment. The disposable garment is part of a garment package, which also includes a cuff by which the garment is loaded into and dispensed from the donning system. The cuff includes elements whereby multiple garments are simultaneously loaded, but the garments are dispensed and donned one at a time. The donning system can include multiple cartridges allowing the user to don multiple garments simultaneously, such as right and left gloves or shoe covers. The donning system can include multiple chambers allowing the system to dispense garments of different sizes.

HANGING DRESSING AID

A hanging dressing aid device for upper body for putting on pull-over or button-up garments, designed in particular for persons with limited mobility of upper musculoskeletal system. The hanging dressing aid comprises a base to which the body of the dressing aid is attached, provided with top rounded continuous parts lying in one plane, serving as dressing aid arms. The body can be folded and attached to the base using an interlocking element. Between the continuous parts, a part is placed on the body of the dressing aid allowing garments to be donned over the head. The plane, in which the continuous parts of the dressing aid lie, forms an angle of less than 90 from the upper part of the plane of the base.

The examination glove donning machine is a mechanical device. The examination glove donning machine is configured for use with one or more hands of a patient. The examination glove donning machine comprises a housing, an elastomeric sheeting, a vacuum pump, and a laser cutting device. The housing contains the elastomeric sheeting, the vacuum pump, and the laser cutting device. The elastomeric sheeting forms a barrier around a hand of the patient. The vacuum pump creates a vacuum that draws the elastomeric sheeting around the hand of the patient. The laser cutting device cuts the elastomeric sheeting as it is drawn against the hand of the patient such that the examination glove is formed while on the hand of the patient. The examination glove donning machine simultaneously dons an examination glove on up to two hands of a patient.

Various embodiments of a dressing aid are disclosed. In one embodiment, a dressing aid, comprises a grip; an extender extending from the grip, the extender having a proximal end and a distal end; a clasping mechanism coupled with the distal end of the extender; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the extender into a fixed position such that the clasping mechanism remains at a fixed length from the grip.

ASSISTANCE DEVICE FOR PUTTING ON JACKET

An assistance device for putting on a jacket includes an elongated bar and magnetic connection elements (such as magnets or metallic elements) positioned at each end of the elongated bar. The assistance device can be magnetically attached to corresponding magnetic connection elements at the shoulders of a jacket. As the jacket is placed over one shoulder, the other end of the assistance device (and attached portions of the jacket) will tend to be biased toward the other side of the user. This makes it easier for users to grab the other side of the jacket since it extends toward the arm not in the jacket sleeve reducing the distance that the user needs to move this arm behind their back to grab the jacket. This is especially valuable for users with restricted mobility who find it hard to put on jackets without the assistance device.

Various examples of a device for aiding in closure of a zipper are disclosed. The device includes a body comprising a base portion and an elongated spring portion extending from the base portion, the elongated spring portion configured with a bend such that the elongated spring portion overlaps the base portion such that a distal portion of the elongated spring portion together with at least a portion of the base portion forms a gripping section to receive a zipper tab of the zipper; and a locking member comprising a lever arm and a tension member, the tension member positioned at an angle with respect to the lever arm, the locking member configured to pivot with respect to the body such that the tension member applies pressure to the elongated spring portion in a closed position to secure the zipper tab.
