A friction-reducing compression stocking aid which facilitates placement of a compression stocking on a wearer's foot by reducing friction between the stocking and the foot includes a generally elongated stocking aid body sized and shaped to accommodate a foot of a wearer. A foot opening may be provided in a rear end of the stocking aid body. The foot opening may be sized and configured to receive the foot of the wearer. A pull tab or other protruding portion may extend forwardly from the stocking aid body to facilitate removal of the compression stocking aid from the foot of the wearer after use.

Such a device includes a base having a longitudinal central section, two flanges along oppositely-disposed longitudinal sides of the central section, and oppositely-disposed distal and proximal ends. The apparatus includes a static arm, a dynamic arm, a hollow handle, a spring, a first claw, a second claw, and a trigger. The static arm is utilized for positioning of the first claw. The dynamic arm arranges the position of the second claw and slides relative to the static arm. The hollow handle provides the user a means of grasping the apparatus during use. The spring is a curved unit that expands and contracts to transmit energy to the dynamic arm. The first claw is a curved rigid segment of the static arm, and the second claw is a curved rigid segment of the dynamic arm. The trigger may be utilized to move the dynamic arm towards the spring.
