20230110564 · 2023-04-13 ·

A sheath with modular locking attachments is designed so that it can be secured to the body to prevent the knife and/or sheath from hanging on equipment. The locking attachments secure the sheath to the body and lock the knife in the sheath to prevent an enemy combatant from removing the knife and using it against the knife owner, while allowing the knife owner to easily unlock and deploy the knife when needed.

GUARD TO PROTECT A USER WHILE CUTTING FOOD
20230111827 · 2023-04-13 ·

A guard to protect a user while cutting food (“guard”) has an outer body, a plurality of sides, and at least one grip to securely hold a piece of food within the guard. A plate is secured to the bottom of the outer body to add a further layer of protection. It is preferred that the outer body of the guard is made of a flexible material so that the sides can flex inwardly to accommodate different sizes of food. A method for using the guard to cut food has the food being placed inside the guard, the user gripping the guard and flexing the sides inwardly so that the at least one grip forms a secure connection with the outer surface of the food, and cutting the food such that the plate adds a layer of protection between the cutting instrument and the user.

Sheath assembly mechanism

A sheath has a sheath body having a front plate and a back plate spaced apart from the front plate. The front plate and back plate define a cavity within the sheath body. The cavity is externally accessible through an opening formed between the front plate and the back plate. Snapping fasteners are positioned about a front side and a back side of the back plate. The snapping fasteners each include a male component and a female component. The male component and female component of each fastener are mounted on opposite sides of the back plate. The male component includes a protrusion extending away from the sheath body. The female component defines a recess that is complimentary to the protrusion.
