An assistive device for standing tasks allows for a reduction of effort on the part of a user while engaged in tasks or activities that are stationary or nearly stationary that lessens the strain on the bones, joints, and muscles normally used for standing while ensuring a proper alignment of the pelvis and spine.

Suction apparatus

An apparatus may include a first layer that includes a plurality of inlets and a surface feature; a second layer, where the surface feature opposes the second layer; an outlet, and a pattern defined on at least one of the first layer and the second layer, where the pattern defines a suction path from each inlet of the plurality of inlets to the outlet.

Carpet backing layer composition
11326068 · 2022-05-10 · ·

The present invention relates to a carpet backing layer composition, comprising: —100 parts by weight of a polyolefins or a blend of polyolefins and optionally a blend of oils, wax and tackifiers, said polyolefin or polyolefin blend comprising at least 0% by weight of (co)polymerized C3-C8 alfa-olefins—between 100 and 900 parts by weight of one or more inorganic filler(s) characterized by a volume median particle diameter (D50) comprised between 10 and 1000 μm; —the backing layer composition having a heat of fusion within the temperature range of from 10 to 40° C. (ΔH.sup.10.fwdarw.40° C.) that is less than 12.5% of the heat of fusion of the backing layer within the temperature range of from 10 to 170° C. (ΔH.sup.10.fwdarw.170° C.), the heat of fusion being measured by Differential Scanning calorimetry. The invention further relates to a carpet comprising a carpet backing layer obtained from the carpet backing layer composition and a method for the preparation of the carpet.

Anti-fatigue mat
11324347 · 2022-05-10 ·

An improved anti-fatigue mat is provided. The anti-fatigue mat includes a base member constructed from an elastomeric material configured to receive a foot or shoe of a user. A disk configured to rotate is provided, the disk having a disk top surface, wherein the disk top surface is flush or approximately flush with at least a portion of the base top surface. A substantial portion of the disk is embedded into the base member. The rotating disk is configured to rotate 360 degrees in both a clockwise and a counterclockwise direction enabling a user to rotate the disk in either direction via leg movements. A plurality of raised elements protruding from the top surface of the base member may be optionally provided.

Apparatus and Kit for Floor Protection
20230255383 · 2023-08-17 ·

The present disclosure provides a novel design for an apparatus for protecting a floor, the apparatus comprising a plastic plate, a cushioning element, and a sliding element. Both the cushioning elements and sliding elements can be detachably coupled to opposing sides of the plastic plate via adhesive layers. The apparatus can thus take different forms for either sliding or resting furniture legs and casters over both carpeted floors and hard floors. The plastic plate is shaped with a raised lip so as to prevent contact with the floor even when the deformable sliding and cushioning elements are crushed by the heavy weight of furniture. The raised lip is formed so as to form a retaining wall about the concave receiving area where furniture legs may be placed when it is used as a caster. Also provided herein is a kit comprising multiple plastic plates, cushioning elements, and sliding elements, which a user can combine as they see fit for different functions.

GLASS CHAIR MAT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
