A rug tab is provided. The rug tab can include a support material, having an upper side and a lower side; an upper adhesive layer applied on the upper side of the support material; and a lower adhesive layer applied on the lower side of the support material. The rug tab can be designed such that (i) an upper adhesive layer sheer force is at least 25% greater than a lower adhesive layer sheer force, (ii) an upper adhesive layer peel force is at least twice a lower adhesive layer peel force, or (iii) both options (i) and (ii), where the force values are measured one hour after application of a respective upper or lower adhesive layer to a target surface. A method of stabilizing a rug and a kit for stabilizing a rug using the rug tabs are also provided.

Two Part Floor Covering

A two part floor covering useful for entranceway is provided having a mat overlaying a base. A fastening system incorporating a mushroom-type fastener is provided, whereby the mat can be laid on the base and positioned as desired, without the fastening system engaging. When the mat is aligned with the base, downward pressure on the mat engages the fastening system and restricts the mat from slipping laterally or lifting vertically. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

Anchor and alignment device for floor covering tiles
RE047329 · 2019-04-02 · ·

An anchor for a carpet tile includes a cross-shaped base having four arms extending from a vertex. The arms form a planar top surface and a planar bottom surface. A vertical blade centered on the base rises to engage the backing of a carpet tile when a corner of the carpet tile is placed near the vertex. The blade is preferably made of bendable and resilient material. Preferably, the anchor is used with a pedestal head of a raised-flooring system and has a nub extending from the bottom surface of each of the arms of the base to fit within holes in the pedestal head and thereby secure the anchor to the pedestal head. An alternative anchor includes a plate for the base and the blade in the shape of a cross rises from the plate. The plate may have a hole in each quadrant defined by the blade.

A rug mounting system and method includes an elongate fastening driven into a flooring surface. The elongate fastener is coupled with a fastening area and a complementary fastener. The underside of the rug is fitted with a complementary fastening area and fastener. A flat item that includes the fastening area is affixed to the flooring surface, and the elongate fastener is applied to the flooring surface therethrough, thus exposing the lower end fasteners. The rug is then placed over both fastening types and mounted on the ground. One, or more, mounting systems may be used to secure a rug to the ground.

Carpet Air Kicker
20190029453 · 2019-01-31 ·

A carpet air kicker comprises a body, a rod, a spring and a controlling switch. The body defines an interior chamber including a front chamber and a rear chamber. A front end and a rear end of the rod have a gripping head and a piston respectively. The piston is located in the interior chamber such that the front chamber is not communicated with the rear chamber. A piston assembly of the body is connected to the rod and located between a front end of the body and the front chamber. The spring is installed in the rear chamber. A communicating hole is communicated with the front chamber. The controlling switch controls the front chamber communicated with external air such that the spring pushes the rod moving forward or communicated with an air compressor such that an air pressure pushes the rod moving backward.

FLOOR COVERING WITH UNIVERSAL BACKING AND METHODS OF MAKING AND RECYCLING

A dimensionally stable universal floor covering includes a tufted textile having stitches and a reinforcement layer of fibers and adhesive providing dimensional stability for the entire floor covering. The fibers and adhesive are mixed and then moved by an applicator towards the stitches. A slip path is formed to improve the movement of the fibers and adhesive. A releasable adhesive or gecko-like cover system is provided which also provides additional strength and stability and a releasable attachment of the universal floor covering to a supporting surface.

Securing arrangement for fitting a foot mat

A securing arrangement for fitting a foot mat to the floor of the foot space of a motor vehicle may have at least one securing element, wherein the securing element has an upper portion which is constructed for releasable fitting of the foot mat, and a pin which is connected to the upper portion and which is guided through an opening in the floor. There is further provided a clamping element which is locked to the pin at the side of the floor facing away from the upper portion in order to thus clamp the floor between the upper portion and the clamping element. At least one reinforcement plate is arranged between the clamping element and the floor.
