ANTI-CURLING REINFORCEMENT DEVICE FOR AREA RUG CORNERS
An anti-curling reinforcement device can be applied to corners of a rug, such as an area rug, to prevent the corners from curling. By adhering to the underside of the rug, and not the floor, the anti-curling reinforcement device does not damage the floor as may occur with double-sided carpet tape. The device utilizes a specially designed shape and structure that straightens and reinforces the corner to prevent further curling and possible damage to the rug. The device straightens, reinforces and adds weight to the rug corner to prevent curling, keeping the corner flat, and preventing possible damage to the rug as well as minimizing tripping hazards from curled corners.
APPARATUS TO PREVENT CURLING OF A RUG CORNER
An apparatus to prevent curling of a rug corner. The apparatus includes a rigid and planar V-shaped body having a top surface and a bottom surface. A hook-and-pile fastener detachably secures the body and rug together. The body maintains the rug corner in a flat condition thus preventing any curling of the rug.
A METHOD TO REMOVABLY CONNECT A CARPET PRODUCT TO A SURFACE AND A DOUBLE FACE TAPE FOR USE IN THE METHOD
The invention pertains to a method to removably connect a carpet product having a pile side and a fibrous back side to a surface, wherein the method comprises the step of adhering a double face tape with a first side of the tape to the fibrous back side of the carpet product and connecting the carpet product to the surface by adhering the second side of the double face tape to the surface, the first side of said double face tape is provided with multiple hooks extending from this side and having a length of 0.1-10 mm, and the second side of said double face tape is provided with multiple adhesive nano fibres extending from the second side, each fibre having a distal tip that has a surface extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the fibre, the surface having a diameter of 1-900 nm. The invention also pertains to a carpet product and double face tape for use in the above described method.
Delamination-resistant bulky needle-punched structures
Stabilizing a textile sheet structure was achieved by forming a plurality of discrete fiber tufts extending from a first face of a fibrous layer of the textile sheet structure, through the fibrous layer and beyond a second face opposite the first face. Each discrete fiber tuft included a plurality discrete fibers. Each discrete fiber tuft was anchored to the first face and the second face of the fibrous layer by joining together the plurality of each discrete fiber tuft at the first face and the second face and bonding the joined plurality of discrete fiber tuft to the first face and the second face.
A MAGNETIC FLOOR MAT MOUNTING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An improved apparatus for reversibly securing a floor mat, and related methods. The apparatus of the present invention utilizes embedded or attached magnetic materials in the floor mat and the floor to provide an improved method of securing a floor mat to the ground. The system operates under magnetic coupling alone, preventing twisting, rotating or lifting of a floor mat, while allowing easy removal of the mat with no needed clean up or degraded attachment function.
FLOORING EDGE TOOLS
A hand-held or table-mounted tool for adhering a flooring edge finish to a flooring edge. The hand-held tool includes a main body, which can include a handle, a base, and a bi-level soleplate, which is heated during application to adhere a flooring edge finish to a flooring edge. The soleplate of the tool can be made of polymer, carbon, metal, ceramic, glass, or a mixture thereof.
Absorbent pad holder and containment system
An absorbent pad holder and containment system includes a frame that can be adjustable in length on all sides to accommodate a varying range of absorbent pad dimensions. The frame design allows the absorbent area of the pad to remain flat while the ramped perimeter design of the frame and the corner attachment system holds the outer edge of the absorbent pad into an upward position. This creates a containment barrier for liquid that would normally flow over the edge of the pad and onto the floor surface. The perimeter design of the liner keeps the pad centered and provides flow of all liquid landing on the pad within the absorbent area of the pad.
Carpet stretching apparatus
A carpet stretching apparatus includes a sleeve that has a first end and a second end. The first end is open. A carpet stretcher extends outwardly of the first end and is rotatable with respect to the sleeve. A locking member releasably engages the sleeve to the carpet stretcher in a first position or a second position. The first and second positions are orientated 90° with respect to each other. An anchor is attached to the second end of the sleeve and releasably engages the carpet.
Floor Mat with Hidden Base Component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
