APPARATUS TO PREVENT CURLING OF A RUG CORNER
An apparatus to prevent curling of a rug corner. The apparatus includes a rigid and planar V-shaped body having a top surface and a bottom surface. A hook-and-pile fastener detachably secures the body and rug together. The body maintains the rug corner in a flat condition thus preventing any curling of the rug.
Automatic adjustment tube for carpet stretcher tool
A carpet stretcher device has an automatic adjusting tube that changes length with telescoping motion of an inside tube and an outside tube. A housing is mounted on the outside tube, and at least one lever is connected to the housing. A hand lever controls the motion of a spring-loaded rotating arm with a locking button positioned within the housing to insert and remove the locking button from holes in the tubes. When lifted away from the housing, the hand lever releases the rotating arms, which rotate to remove the locking button from holes in the tubes and thereby allow the tubes to telescope. The carpet stretcher may also have a floor lever that retracts when the device contacts a floor surface and extends when the device is lifted off a floor surface. When extended, the floor lever also releases the rotating arms, thereby allowing the tubes to telescope.
Pocket Spring Unit
A pocket spring unit comprising a plurality of pocket springs each comprising a coil spring and a pocket. Each of the pockets comprise top portion and bottom portions. Each of the pockets are formed from a continuous top piece of fabric attached to a continuous bottom piece of fabric to form a bond having a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of each coil spring. The pocket spring unit further comprises an attachment layer comprising a top portion comprising an inner and outer surface. The pocket spring unit further comprises a plurality of first cushion elements engaged with the outer surface of the top portion of the attachment layer. The inner surface of the top portion of the attachment element is engaged with the top portion of the pockets of the pocket springs such that each of the first cushion elements act only upon one of the pocket springs.
Reinforced rug tab, reinforced rug tab kit, and method of using the same
A reinforced rug tab is disclosed. The reinforced rug tab can include a reinforcing material, a first rug tab applied above the reinforcing material, and a second rug tab applied below the reinforcing material. The first rug tab can include a first tab upper adhesive layer, a first tab lower adhesive layer, and a first tab support material between the first tab upper adhesive layer and the first tab lower adhesive layer. The second rug tab can include a second tab upper adhesive layer, a second tab lower adhesive layer, and a second tab support material between the second tab upper adhesive layer and the second tab lower adhesive layer. A method of stabilizing a rug and a kit for stabilizing a rug using the rug tabs are also provided.
Interlocking carpet tile
The invention relates to a flat woven carpet tile (1) with a warp direction and a weft direction. The carpet tile (1) has three or more edges extending along a circumference of the carpet tile. The carpet tile comprises a plurality of indentations (12) and protrusions (13) along all edges. The indentations (12) and protrusions (13) are shaped, dimensioned and located so that the carpet tile (1) is adapted to be joined with abutting identically shaped carpet tiles by mutual interlocking of pairs of mating indentations and protrusions along all the edges in order to form a seamless and coherent carpet. At least some of the protrusions (13) comprise transversely extending gripping elements (14) and the mating indentations (12) comprise corresponding transversely extending notches (15). The gripping elements (14) and notches (15) are dimensioned so that a good interlocking is ensured even if a pulling force is applied in a plane of the carpet tiles in a direction in which the pulling force would otherwise pull the carpet tiles apart. The present invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such a carpet tile, and in particular a method comprising use of laser cutting.
Rug mounting systems and method
A rug mounting system and method includes an elongate fastening driven into a flooring surface. The elongate fastener is coupled with a fastening area and a complementary fastener. The underside of the rug is fitted with a complementary fastening area and fastener. A flat item that includes the fastening area is affixed to the flooring surface, and the elongate fastener is applied to the flooring surface therethrough, thus exposing the lower end fasteners. The rug is then placed over both fastening types and mounted on the ground. One, or more, mounting systems may be used to secure a rug to the ground.
Two Part Floor Covering
A two part floor covering useful for entranceway is provided having a mat overlaying a base. A fastening system incorporating a mushroom-type fastener is provided, whereby the mat can be laid on the base and positioned as desired, without the fastening system engaging. When the mat is aligned with the base, downward pressure on the mat engages the fastening system and restricts the mat from slipping laterally or lifting vertically. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
Apparatus to prevent curling of a rug corner
An apparatus to prevent curling of a rug corner. The apparatus includes a rigid and planar V-shaped body having a top surface and a bottom surface. An adhesive layer is applied to at least a portion of the top surface of the body while a removable protective cover is provided over the adhesive layer. Upon removal of the protective cover and exposure of the adhesive layer, the body is adhered to the rug corner by the adhesive. Upon doing so, the body maintains the rug corner in a flat condition thus preventing any curling of the rug.
