POUCH CUTTING APPARATUS FOR SECONDARY BATTERIES
Disclosed is a pouch cutting apparatus for secondary batteries, which cuts remaining portions of a terrace of a pouch-type secondary battery except for folded portions, the pouch cutting apparatus including a frame, a lower cutting unit fixed to a lower side of a front surface of the frame and configured to support a lower portion of the terrace in a longitudinal direction of the terrace so that the remaining portion extends to the outside of a rear surface thereof in a state in which the pouch-type secondary battery to be cut is fixed, and an upper cutting unit disposed at an upper side of the front surface of the frame so as to be movable upward or downward and configured to cut the remaining portion extending to the outside of the rear surface of the lower cutting unit.

CUTTING DEVICE
A cutting device includes: a cutting blade that advances toward and recedes from a continuous body of electrode plates or separators so as to cut the continuous body; and a cleaning member that advances and recedes together with the cutting blade and comes into contact with a cutting section of the continuous body and cleans the cutting section.

PUNCHING BLADE, PUNCHING UNIT, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND FINISHING DEVICE
An object of the present invention is to reduce loads during a punching process and to reduce punching time. A punching blade is provided with a blade edge portion including multiple peaks and multiple valleys formed alternately in a circumferential direction. A blade edge line of the blade edge portion has first areas corresponding to the valleys, second areas extending from the peaks to the valleys, and third areas connecting the first areas and the second areas. In a side view of the blade edge portion, the first areas form curved lines along first arcs having a center point on a punching axis, the second areas form curved lines along second arcs having center points located in areas between the punching axis and the highest points of the peaks, and the third areas form straight lines along common tangents to the first arcs and the second arcs.
DEEP BRAIN STIMULATOR AND METHOD OF USE
A neurostimulation system is shown and described. The neurostimulation system may include a stimulation device implantable into a patient, a lead operatively coupled with the stimulation device, a first power cell providing power to the stimulation device where the first power cell is charged by an externally applied AC (High HF) magnetic field.
ULTRASONIC ROTARY MOLDING
The present disclosure describes an ultrasonic rotary molding system that is used to form edible compositions or food products as they move along a conveyor belt. The food products are formed by an ultrasonic rotary wheel that includes one or more cutting tools that cut, and perhaps three dimensionally mold, food product strips. The system may include a movable backing plate that is located below the point where the ultrasonic rotary wheel cuts the food product strips. The movable backing plate may be spring loaded and it may exert force upwards against the conveyor belt and in turn against the food product.
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING FOOD PRODUCTS
Apparatus, systems and methods are disclosed to manufacture a plurality of edible pieces in a continuous process where each piece is generally different in thickness, shape, size and/or texture from another piece, so as to create, in the aggregate product distribution, pieces of randomly varying thickness, size, shape and/or texture. More specifically, the present invention, in its various embodiments, provides a process for manufacturing pet jerky treats comprising: grinding proteinaceous material, mixing said proteinaceous material with preservatives and flavor enhancers to form a blend of foodstuff, extruding said foodstuff through at least one die opening that is at least partially irregular to form at least one strip of extrudate that is at least partly irregular in shape, transporting said strip in a first longitudinal direction to a first cutting operation, cutting said strip at a first cutting angle to form a first set of pieces, transporting said first set of pieces in a second longitudinal direction to a second cutting operation, cutting said first set of pieces in said second cutting operation at a second angle to form a second set of pieces, such that the said second set of pieces cumulatively produced during a process run generally appear to be of random sizes and shapes.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CUTTING AND COOKING A SUBSTANCE
Systems and methods for cutting and cooking a substance are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: convey, via a primary conveying subsystem, a layer of food substance along a conveyance path along which the layer of food substance is conveyed; cut, via a cutter, the layer of food substance into food pieces; apply, via a primary pressurized fluid outlet, primary pressurized fluid such that the food pieces are released from the cutter; heat, via the heating mechanism, a chamber; apply, via a secondary pressurized fluid outlet, secondary pressurized fluid so that the food pieces are held flat to the primary conveying substrate, and hold, via a secondary conveying subsystem, the layer of food substance flat between the primary conveying substrate and a secondary conveying substrate for at least a portion of the chamber.
