PORTABLE LASER CUTTER
A CNC machine includes a lower body; an upper body that extends from the lower body and is movably attached to the lower body; a tool that is movably attached to the upper body; and a flexible mat that is attached to the lower body. The tool may be a laser generator with the flexible mat resistant to the laser beam. The flexible mat has at least one orientation such that an outer periphery of the flexible mat is greater than the full extent of range of motion of the tool. The upper body may be connected to the lower body by a pivot mechanism configured to allow the upper body to pivot from a first position to a second position and to rotationally fix the upper body relative to the lower body in the second position, with the first and second positions being ninety degrees apart.
Discharging plate-shaped workpiece parts that have been cut free
A machine for separative machining of a plate-shaped workpiece by a processing beam. The machine has a first movement unit for moving the workpiece in a first direction, a second movement unit for moving a processing head in a second direction, two workpiece bearing supports for bearing the workpiece, and a parts chute. The two workpiece bearing supports are separated from each other by a gap that extends along the second direction. The parts chute is movable between a first chute position and a second chute position so as to move a cut-free workpiece part that has dropped into the gap, laterally away from the gap. The machine includes a receiving unit movable in the second direction, to receive the cut-free workpiece part at a transfer position and transport the workpiece part to one or more discharging positions of the machine along the second direction.

PROCESSING DEVICE AND HOLDING MEMBER
A processing device includes a mounting portion, a holding member configured to hold the target object, a first mover configured to move a mounting portion, a second mover configured to move the mounting portion and the holding member, a processor, and a memory. The processing device performs processing on a target object by penetrating the target object using a processing tool mounted to the mounting portion. The processor acquires processing data representing control conditions of the first mover and the second mover for causing the processing tool to penetrate the target object and perform processing on the target object. The processor controls the first mover and the second mover, on the basis of the acquired processing data, in a state in which the target object is held by the first holder, to cause the processing tool to penetrate the target object and perform the processing on the target object.
Sanitary Tissue Product with a Shaped Line of Weakness
A roll of sanitary tissue product comprising a shaped line of weakness, where the roll of sanitary tissue product may exhibit a roll compressibility of from about 4% to about 10% and a LWP Factor of greater than about 8.
METHOD OF PERFORATING A NONLINEAR LINE OF WEAKNESS
A method for perforating a web with a perforating apparatus includes: rotating a cylinder about a longitudinal cylinder axis, wherein the cylinder comprises at least one shaped blade; operatively engaging a moveable support with the cylinder; positioning an anvil disposed on the support so as to cooperate in contacting relationship with the shaped blade, wherein at least one of the blade and the anvil comprise a plurality of teeth, and wherein adjacent teeth are separated by a recessed portion; feeding a web between the cylinder and the support; and perforating the web as the anvil cooperates in contacting relationship with the shaped blade disposed on the rotating cylinder.
Systems and Methods for Making Improved Expandable Slit-Sheet-Material
According to some illustrative embodiments, a method of making slit sheet material product is provided that includes: providing a die having a first pressing member and second pressing member, wherein the first pressing member and the second pressing member are employed to press on opposite sides of a sheet of material, and wherein the first pressing member has a plurality of blades configured to penetrate and pass through the sheet of material to form an expandable slit sheet material, and wherein the plurality of blades further penetrate a surface of the second pressing member. In preferred embodiments, the second pressing member includes an intermediary material layer therearound and said plurality of blades penetrate said intermediary material layer. According to various embodiments, novel and advantageous expandable slit sheet material products are created by the novel methods described herein.
DIE MACHINE AND DRIVE MEMBER INSTALLED THEREON
A drive member for driving a sheet of workpiece through a die machine including a backing layer comprising a first surface defined in a first dimension by a first width and defined in a second dimension by a first length and a padding layer comprising a first surface defined in the first dimension by a second width and defined in the second dimension by a second length, where the padding layer is composed of a compressible foam material. In an uncompressed state of the padding layer, the second length of the padding layer is longer than the first length of the backing layer, and in a compressed state of the padding layer, the padding layer is compressed along the second dimension to match the first length of the backing layer, and the first surface of the padding layer is bonded to the first surface of the backing layer.

Fiberglass cutting device with yoke-supported adjustable roller
The disclosed fiberglass cutting device with yoke-supported adjustable roller is a device, or “gun,” with on-the-fly—during operation adjustment of the spacing between the anvil roller and cutter. This adjustability is accomplished using only a single tension-adjusting knob located to one side of the anvil roller. This is superior to the prior art that required, at a minimum, two tension-adjusting knobs—one for each side of the anvil roller. To solve this problem, the fiberglass cutting device with yoke-supported adjustable roller supports the supports the anvil roller on both ends using a yoke. The position of the yoke is controlled by a single tension-adjustment knob that moves both arms of the yoke, thus maintaining the anvil roller in a position parallel to the cutting roller. The use of the yoke also avoids only supporting the anvil roller at a single end, which creates an unstable cantilevered-roller.
