Method for making extrusion coated perforated nonwoven web
A method for making an extrusion coated perforated nonwoven web. The method comprises the steps of extruding a molten polyethylene coating onto a nonwoven web, and aperturing the molten polyethylene coating through heat and pneumatic pressure differential to create microperforations therein at a density of between about 35 and about 120 perforations per linear inch. The resulting microperforated nonwoven web is then thermomechanically perforated by feeding it through perforating rolls, at least one of which has raised protuberances to create macroperforations that extend though at least the polyethylene coating. The macroperforations have a density of between about 6 and about 35 perforations per linear inch. The perforated nonwoven web is useful as a topsheet for absorbent articles.
Digital systems and processes for cutting and creasing corrugated cardboards
The present invention relates to systems and processes for cutting and creasing corrugated cardboards, and more specifically, to digital system and processes for cutting and creasing corrugated cardboards, wherein the system includes an array of cutting elements that can be dynamically configured to cut and/or crease a wide range of contours.
Method and Apparatus for Making an Apertured Web
A disposable absorbent having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, is described herein. The topsheet has first and second webs where the second web forms a body-contacting surface of the disposable absorbent article and the first web is disposed between the second web and the absorbent core. The second web is hydrophobic compared to the first web. And, the second web is a nonwoven with a plurality of fibers having a diameter less than about 10 microns.

Device and process for introducing perforations into laminates
Described is a ultrasonic welding of laminates, more particular to the use of ultrasonic energy to create stable perforations in a laminate, in particular a laminate that includes a silicone gel. Specifically, a perforation element is provided, that is optionally part of array of perforation elements, which perforation element or array of perforation elements is advantageously used in an ultrasonic welding device and in a process for continuously introducing perforations into a laminate.
Saw blade and method for arranging saw teeth
A saw blade includes a group A (group A1 [=straight tooth+the odd number of set teeth]+group A2 [=straight tooth+the even number of set teeth]) and a group B (group B1 [=straight tooth+the odd number of set teeth having opposite set-bending sides to those in the group A1]+group B2 [=straight tooth+the even number of set teeth having opposite set-bending sides to those in the group A2]). Wide and narrow set teeth are arranged so that a max/min ratio of the number of pitches between the narrow set teeth having identical set-bending side and set width is 1.8 or less, and a max/min ratio of the number of pitches between the wide set teeth having identical set-bending side set width is 2.7 or less.
Trim Cover Perforating Apparatus and Method
A trim cover perforating apparatus and a method of perforating a trim cover. The trim cover perforating apparatus may have a plurality of punches that may be received in punch openings of a punch lifting plate. The punch lifting plate may receive a pattern plate that may have a set of pattern plate holes. Each punch that is aligned with a pattern plate hole may not perforate the trim cover. Each punch that is not aligned with a pattern plate hole perforates the trim cover.
PRODUCE PREPARATION
It is a system for processing produce comprising a plurality of freestanding pucks for carrying items of produce, each puck comprising a base and a spike extending from the base, the spike configured to pierce an item of produce and hold the item in a substantially fixed position relative to the base.

Perforated non-woven fabric and its manufacturing method
A perforated non-woven fabric having at least one fiber layer that has a plurality of through holes. The total area of the through holes accounts for 10˜80% of the total area of the perforated non-woven fabric; the opening of the through holes is flat with the surface of the perforated non-woven fabric; and the density of through holes on the perforated non-woven fabric is 3/cm.sup.2˜100/cm.sup.2. The fiber density at the edge of each through hole is similar to or the same as the fiber density in other areas of the perforated non-woven fabric. The fiber surrounds the through hole, and only the surface of the fiber is bonded to each other.
