Electronic Dispenser for Flexible Rolled Sheet Material
An electronic dispenser for dispensing flexible sheet material. A control circuit in the housing receives a plurality of signals and controls dispensing of the sheet material from the housing. A tear bar is mounted within the housing for severance of sheet material by the user. A pivotally mounted pawl member is located proximate to the tear bar such that movement of sheet material into the tear bar for severance pivots the pawl member from a first position to a second position. A signal means associated with the pawl member is located such that movement of the pawl member to the second position causes the signal means to send a signal to notify the control circuit that the sheet material has been removed. The dispensing mechanism is operative in a first mode to be responsive to a signal from a proximity sensor to dispense a sheet of material, and is operative in a second mode to dispense a next sheet in response to the signal means being activated by movement of the pawl member to the second position in response to dispensed sheet material being removed from the dispenser.
Tape cutting device
A tape cutting device includes a device frame adapted to ride along a tape roll. A blade housing may be carried by the device frame. The blade housing may have a pair of spaced-apart tape roll guides and a blade space between the tape roll guides. A blade actuating panel may be pivotally carried by the device frame. A tape cutting blade having a tape cutting edge may be carried by the blade actuating panel. The tape cutting blade may be selectively deployable between a retracted blade position in the blade space and an extended blade position with respect to the blade space in which the tape cutting blade engages the tape roll responsive to pivoting of the blade actuating panel on the device frame. A retaining mechanism may be carried by the tape cutting unit. The retaining mechanism may be adapted to secure the tape cutting unit on the tape roll.

Magnet cutting device
The magnet cutting device includes a pair of supporting portions spaced apart by a predetermined distance and configured to support the magnet from a bottom side, a blade configured to press the magnet supported by the pair of supporting portions from an upper side of the magnet, and a magnet supporting tool arranged between the pair of supporting portions to support the magnet from the bottom side of the magnet. A surface of the magnet supporting tool to be held in contact with the magnet is shaped such that a central part of an upper end is higher than the upper ends of the pair of supporting portions and an end part of the upper end is lower than the upper ends of the pair of supporting portions when the magnet is placed on the surface, the upper end having a slope connecting the central part and the end part.

Tear-assist apparatus
A system for processing a line of material along a path and a tear-assist apparatus. The tear-assist comprising a driving portion that drives the line of material along the path, a sensing unit that detects pulling of the line of material in a first direction along the path away from the driving portion, and a cutting member for cutting the line of material. The driving portion can also be configured to drive the line of material in the first direction along the path to dispense the material.

Tool for wrapping paper manufactured by 3D printing
A tool for use with wrapping paper is manufactured by a process comprising the step of causing a 3D printer to make the tool using an instruction file which is accessible to the 3D printer. The instruction file includes instructions for a hardware processor which define actions to be taken at and by the 3D printer to manufacture the tool. The tool manufactured in accordance with the instruction file comprises a unitary, plastic stick having a length which extends along an axis of elongation, a broad surface, a bracing surface, and first and second opposing sides extending along the length, separated by a width which is substantially less than the length. The first aide has serrations defined in the plastic stick adjacent the bracing surface. The second side has a non-serrated edge defined in the plastic stick proximate to the bracing surface.
