The contact surface and the abutting surface are movable to achieve a phased angular orientation configuration with respect to a cutting device for cutting caps and an axial holding configuration.
The inner protrusion of the cap has a preset angular position with respect to a circumferential score on a side wall of the cap.
Cutting of the cap includes leading the axially protruding projection to a circumferential abutment on the protrusion, leading the contact surface to an axial abutment against the inner central region, and scoring the cap by the cutting device.
Apparatus and method for cutting closures for containers
A cutting method and apparatus for closures of the tethered type are disclosed, in which a spindle that carries a closure is moved to a cutting device with one or more horizontal blades and at least one vertical or oblique blade. During cutting, the spindle rotates and the closure rolls on the cutting device. The spindle, which is fed several times to the cutting device carrying each time a different closure, comprises a portion made of a softer material than the blades so that during cutting the blades penetrate the material of the closure and then sink into the softer portion of the spindle. Feeding the spindle that carries the closure to the cutting device is coordinated with rotation of the spindle so that the vertical or oblique blade, each time that the spindle is fed to the cutting device, always meets the same zone of the softer portion of the spindle.
Knife for cutting caps
A knife is arranged for a cutting apparatus is provided for obtaining incision lines and notches on a side wall of a plastic cap intended for closing a container when the cap is rotated around its own rotation axis and moved along a path for interacting with the knife in an advancement direction. The knife includes an integral arrangement of cutting edges that project from a peripheral region of the knife and includes an opening formation part for making at least one circumferential notch on the side wall at a first height on a vertical axis that is substantially parallel to the rotation axis to define a tamper-evident ring and a main body in the cap and at least one connection formation part for making at least one notch on the side wall to determine at least one connection portion connecting the tamper-evident ring and the main body.
TOOL FOR MANUFACTURING A CAP FOR A CONTAINER
A tool for manufacturing a cap for a container comprises a blade set that includes a plurality of knives. The knives are configured to make incisions in a cap having a main body having a top plate and a circular sidewall. The top plate has a top surface, wherein two opposite sides of the circular sidewall circularly connect to each other, one periphery of the circular sidewall connects to one surface of the top plate forming a closed end, and the other periphery of the circular sidewall at the opposite side of the closed end forms an opened end and a ring member, which is located at the opened end of the main body. There is a first tab on the ring member and a second tab on the sidewall.
KNIFE FOR CUTTING CAPS
A knife is arranged for being fitted in a cutting apparatus for obtaining incision lines and notches on a cap made of plastics intended for closing a container and is suitable for making notches and incisions on a side wall of the cap when the cap, by rotating around its own rotation axis, is moved along a path for interacting with the knife in an advancement direction; the knife includes an arrangement of cutting edges that project from a peripheral region of the knife, the arrangement of cutting edges including: an opening formation part that extends parallel to a horizontal plane orthogonal to the rotation axis, the at least one opening formation part being arranged for making at least one circumferential notch on the side wall at a first height on a vertical axis that is substantially parallel to the rotation axis to define a tamper-evident ring and a main body in the cap; at least one connection formation part that occupies a region extending between the first quote and a second height that is greater than the first height on the vertical axis, the connection formation part being arranged for making at least one notch on the side wall to determine at least one connection portion connecting the tamper-evident ring and the main body;
wherein the knife consists of a single piece, the arrangement of cutting edges being obtained in the single piece.
Capsule cutting apparatus and method
A cutting apparatus and method are disclosed for making an anti-tamper device of a closing capsule of a container, in which the capsule is fed to a cutting device whilst the capsule is retained between a locking member and a base opposite the locking member, with an annular abutment that is arranged around a rotation axis of the locking member and which is moved from a insertion position in the capsule, before the capsule is cut, to an abutment position, in which the abutment presses the capsule against the cutting device, the abutment being rotatable around a rotation axis that, when the abutment is in the abutment position, is misaligned with respect to the rotation axis of the locking member.
Cutting device for capsules
A device for cutting a capsule of tethered type for closing a container is disclosed, in which the cutting device comprises a first set of horizontal blades that are coplanar with each other, a second set of horizontal blades that are coplanar with each other and spaced vertically apart from the horizontal blades of the first set, and a set of transverse blades arranged for joining together the horizontal blades so as to make two connecting straps between a tamper-evident band and a side wall of the capsule, in addition to another transverse blade that on one side terminates in an intermediate point of one of the horizontal blades and on the opposite side terminates in a free point, i.e. not adjacent to any blade, so that a transverse notch made by this other transverse blade ends with an end completely surrounded by a portion of capsules that is not destined to be broken.
Apparatus and method for producing a locking ring on a closure cap for a container
An apparatus for producing a locking ring on a closure cap for a container comprises a stationary cutting knife with a cutting blade extending along a cutting path, the cutting profile of which cutting blade corresponds to a slot geometry, to be created in a lateral surface of a closure cap blank, between a main part of the closure cap and the locking ring.
