A light switch hook assembly including a light switch plate and a hook extending outwardly therefrom. A fastener is inserted through an aperture defined in the hook and then into a hole defined in the light switch plate. The end of the fastener is subsequently inserted into an opening defined in a light switch mounted within an electrical connector box. The light switch plate may already be installed on a wall. In this instance, a fastener is removed from this pre-existing light switch plate, the hook is positioned against the plate, and the fastener is inserted through the aperture in the hook, through the hole from which the fastener was previously removed, and into the opening in the light switch. A cover may be engaged with the hook to cover the head of the fastener. An article may be hung on the hook.

The cover includes: a first wall; a second wall opposite to the first wall; and an outer wall extending between the first wall and the second wall, the outer wall defining a pair of slots extending therethrough, the slots being positioned opposite to each other on the outer wall, wherein the first wall, the second wall, and the outer wall define a closed chamber for receiving a bow of the key and an opening to the chamber.

A cover for a key is disclosed. An electronically addressable object carrier for enabling the management of removably suspended objects, such as keys, distributed in an object location space, The object carrier includes a housing having an object retention element for securing an object to the object carrier and a lock element for releasable engagement with an associated locking device, the microcontroller having a unique object address serving to identify an object secured to the object carrier; a plurality of electrically conductive contact pads in the housing for electrically coupling the microcontroller to a source of object address signals and electrical power signals and a visible indicator coupled to the microcontroller for activation whenever the microcontroller receives an address signal representative of the unique object address. A key holder includes a key tag, the key tag attached to a key. The key holder further includes a device body, the device body including a slot, the key located in the slot of the device body and the key tag wrapping around the device body from the slot to an outer portion of the device body, the outer portion of the device body including an attachment point for the key tag, the key tag attached to the outer portion of the device body and under sufficient tension to prevent the key from sliding out of the slot.

The present invention is a self-defense instrument comprised of an ergonomic key holder and a key with a sharpened tip that is retained within a slotted compartment defined within the key holder, said key holder further including opposite extending protrusions that extend generally perpendicularly away from the slotted compartment and that are configured to be graspable by the user's hand.
