Curbside mailbox with convenient box handling features
The present invention teaches a residential curbside mailbox with enhanced box handling capability, openable by barcode scanning, and with interchangeable bonnets. A body which is generally column shaped has front and rear doors which open at the top and hinge near the bottom and which have interleaved fingers or members extending from the bottom ends into the interior space of the mailbox. A box tray sits on the interleaved fingers. When either door is opened the fingers of that door lift the box tray upward and out of the box on that side. Thus a delivery person may access a box without leaving a delivery vehicle, while the homeowner may do the same without leaving the safety of the yard. In addition, an elastic cord and carefully slanted slots on side panels of the front door allow easy retention of a box even further up the front door.
MAILBOX IMPACT RETURN SYSTEM
A mailbox impact return system with a spring and controlled rate retraction/contraction device is provided that addresses problems associated with damage to mailboxes/mail-posts caused by the impact of snow. Additionally, the mailbox impact return system is provided that combines flexibility and a return action.
Refrigerator
The present invention relates to a front door refrigerator for enabling a delivery man to safely deliver delivery goods to an orderer even when a user having ordered an item or fresh food is not at home, and preventing the delivery goods from becoming lost during delivery.
Mailbox
A mailbox comprises an outer shell and an inner shell mounted within a hollow interior of the outer shell, the inner shell defining a hollow interior for receiving mail contents and further defining one or more voids with the outer shell. A door is mounted of a movement to selectively open or close one end of the outer and inner shells. A camera is concealed in one void adjacent the front end, the camera being configured to capture an image in front of the mailbox when the door is moved to at least partially expose the hollow interior for receiving mail contents. A transmitter and a receiver are mounted adjacent the front end to generate an output signal when the mail contents break the light beam therebetween. A flag rotates on the outer shell and actuates a switch to annunciate a presence of the mail contents within the mailbox.
SECURED DELIVERY RECEIVING CONTAINERS
A delivery receiving container for receiving and securely storing packages, the delivery receiving container comprising multiple independently accessible and lockable compartments that can be customized to the size of the package received. Embodiments of the invention can comprise dividers that divide the space inside the container into compartments for the receipt and storage of multiple packages from multiple deliveries. Dividers can be moved as needed to accommodate different package size for efficient use of space. The adjustability of the dividers and the multiple independent access compartment lids allow the delivery receiving container to receive multiple independent deliveries from different delivery companies.

Repository With Mechanism for Shielding From View an Object Placed Therein
Apparatus, systems and methods are provided that include a repository for receipt of an object and a mechanism for shielding from view the object. The repository may take the form of a mailbox and the object may be a letter, e.g., a letter addressed to Santa. The shielding mechanism is actuated by a trigger that is associated with the repository and, in exemplary embodiments, is triggered by an activity normally associated with the repository, e.g., raising a flag on a mailbox. The trigger actuation may interact with an electronic control system, a mechanical control system, or a combination thereof.
Postal delivery notification system
The postal delivery notification system is an instrument that is configured for use with a mailbox. The postal delivery notification system is a sensor that monitors the contents of the mailbox. Specifically, the postal delivery notification system comprises a control system and a sensor. The sensor detects when a parcel is placed into or removed from the mailbox. The sensor is attached to the control system such that the control system receives a signal from the sensor that indicates that the parcel has been placed into or removed from the mailbox. The control system responds to the receipt of the signal by sending a first message to an appropriate authority indicating the introduction or removal of the parcel from the mailbox.
Mailbox protector
A mailbox protection device is provided. The device may include an angular deflection surface. The angular deflection surface may include a first planar deflection panel and a second planar deflection panel contiguous along a linear vertex. The linear vertex may be directed toward, for example, oncoming traffic to deflect impacting snow away from a mailbox. The impacting snow may come from passing snowplows, for instance. The device may also include a receiving channel. The receiving channel can be defined in the linear vertex extending through the device from an opening at a top end of the linear vertex to an opening at a bottom end of the linear vertex. The receiving channel may receivably cooperate with a known fence post to anchor the device in the ground.
SECURITY MAILBOX AND CONVERSION KIT
A security mailbox and associated field-modification kit having an interior security panel comprising a first lock member configured to engage a second lock member connected to the interior of the mailbox, a slot to deposit mail articles through the security panel, and a hinge piece to connect the security panel to the floor of the mailbox. The mailbox and kit includes a pulling member demountably connected between the front door and the security panel; whereby rotation of the front door imparts a pulling force via the pulling member sufficient to open the security panel when the security panel is unlocked. The mailbox and kit may alternatively include a spring member configured to rotate the security panel open when unlocked. The first lock member includes a door latch and spring latch to secure the security panel to the mailbox. The security mailbox and kit further includes reinforcing and installation hardware.
