The present invention relates to an illuminated mailbox device primarily comprised of a mailbox, at least one solar panel, at least one address plate, at least one LED light, at least one motion sensor and at least one light sensor. The at least one solar panel provides power to the LED light, which may be located on the interior surface to illuminate the interior surface and the exterior of the device to illuminate the address plate which displays the address of the house at which the device is being used. The LED light is further activated by the motion sensor that is preferably activated when the front wall is in motion and/or when the light sensor that is activated by a lack of light during dawn, dusk or night.

An intelligent item receptacle, system, and method for providing supplemental media content in response to depositing an item having media indicia disposed thereon. An intelligent item receptacle includes an item receptacle securely enclosing an interior volume, an item sensor configured to detect an inserted item, a camera within the interior volume configured to capture an image of the item, and an output configured to play audio or visual content to bystanders outside the item receptacle. Processing circuitry within the item receptacle analyzes the image to determine if the media indicia are present on the item and, if present, causes the output to play the audio or visual content associated with the media indicia.

A mailbox accessory assembly having novel guide channels for providing interchangeable message panels is provided. The mailbox assembly can be incorporated into a mailbox so that the moving of the mailbox door to a closed condition secures the message panels within the mailbox accessory assembly.

This disclosure relates generally to novel system comprised to provide a foldable and removable mailbox or drop box which attaches securely to a door, window or the like by pinning its hook or wedge between the door, window etc. It is made out of soft and flexible outer materials so that it is safe to deploy in hallways and walkways, common areas, etc. Current invention has a very self-intuitive design so that it could be deployed without tools and no tedious installation required. This invention will reduce loss of delivery goods and items due to theft, open exposure when user is not at home.

Described and shown is a Mailbox system (1) for receiving at least one item of mail. In order to simplify the delivery and/or handing over of items of mail the mailbox system (1) can comprise a mailbox (2) and a mailbox holder (3), wherein the mailbox (2) has an interior for receiving the at least one item of mail and at least one entry (4) to the interior for inserting the at least one item of mail into the interior, and wherein the mailbox (2) is detachably held by the mailbox holder (3).

Described and shown is a Mailbox system (1) for receiving at least one item of mail. A security mailbox is configured with a door having an arm on each side of the door that extends downward from the door into a secure mail-holding receptacle. A floor of the mailbox is constructed having longitudinally extending flaps on each side of the mailbox. Each flap has a rail/slide mounted along an underneath side close to the centerline of the mailbox, each rail having a stop at an end near the door. A link extends between a distal end of each arm and a respective rail, with a tension spring that pulls the link and arm toward each other. When the door is initially opened, the arms close the flaps within the first few degrees of door movement by movement of the slides in the rails. When the slides abut the rail stops, the rest of door movement is taken up by the springs.

A support member is for a door assembly of a mailbox. The mailbox includes an enclosure member and a panel member coupled to the enclosure member. The door assembly has a door member coupled to the panel member. The support member includes a body portion structured to be coupled to the door member; and a flange portion extending outwardly from the body portion.
