A delivery/drop box is provided for parcels and products (items). The box comprises: a frame; a plurality of wall, floor, fixed roof, and fixed front panels securable to the frame; a cam roof section hingeably securable to at least one of the frame and the fixed roof section; a drop door assembly hingeably securable to at least one of the frame and the fixed front panel. As the drop door assembly is moved to an open position, the cam roof section moves to a raised position and an opening into an interior of the box is created. The box further comprises a lockable door panel hingeably securable to one of the side or rear panels, whereby an item passed through the opening into the interior of the box is accessible when the door panel is unlocked and open and is inaccessible when the door panel is closed and locked.

The UAV receptacle includes a door in one side that allows a reception tray to extend out and back in, and which locks to protect the package so received. The UAV receptacle detects a drone in proximity. Upon confirming that delivery is for the UAV receptacle, the reception tray extends to a reception position. A sensor detects the package on the reception tray upon delivery from the drone. The reception tray is of a mesh material to reduce water retention. The UAV receptacle retracts the reception tray and closes a door to seal the package within the UAV receptacle. The UAV receptacle may notify user devices that the package has been received.

A post shield to protect a mailbox and a post from damage caused by snowplows, snow, sleet, ice, or combinations thereof. The post shield has a base support, at least one post shield board, and an upper frame support that are interconnected to the post to create a post shield. The base support has (1) a front plate, (2) a rear plate capable of being positioned a post shield distance from the front plate to form a shield aperture, wherein the post shield distance permits the post shield board to be (a) removably received between the front plate and the rear plate and (b) essentially vertically leveled when positioned in the base support, and (3) a frame base capable of receiving a portion of the corresponding post. The post shield board and the post each have at least one upper frame slot that receive the upper frame support.

BREAK-AWAY BRACKET AND SPIKE

A ground spike with an attachable mounting bracket. The ground spike has an angled tip adapted to be driven into the ground. The top of the spike has a mounting plate configured to be substantially flat with the ground surface when installed. The mounting plate can be of any suitable size or shape. A plurality of slots are located around the perimeter, and extend towards the center for a distance. An upper post fastening section with an open upper end receives and secures a post, such as a mailbox post. Holes in the sides of the fastening section allow for securely fastening the mounting bracket to the post, such as through screws or similar fastening means. The lower end of the post fastening section includes a second mounting plate, or flanges that extend outward at a right angle. The second mounting plate or flanges comprise a plurality of slots that are configured to align with the slots in the mounting plate attached to the spike. Mechanical fasteners, such as bolts and nuts, are used to fasten the mounting bracket to the spike mounting plate. Preferably, the mechanical fasteners are made of a material that breaks when a threshold level of force is applied to the post secured to the mounting bracket.

Certain exemplary embodiments can provide an AirBox constructed to receive deliveries from a drone. The AirBox can comprise an automatically openable lid; and a wireless receiver that is constructed to receive data concerning a delivery from the drone. The automatically openable lid can open to receive the delivery from the drone.

The present invention relates to an illuminated mailbox device primarily comprised of a mailbox, at least one solar panel, at least one address plate, at least one LED light, at least one motion sensor and at least one light sensor. The at least one solar panel provides power to the LED light, which may be located on the interior surface to illuminate the interior surface and the exterior of the device to illuminate the address plate which displays the address of the house at which the device is being used. The LED light is further activated by the motion sensor that is preferably activated when the front wall is in motion and/or when the light sensor that is activated by a lack of light during dawn, dusk or night.
