Protected Delivery Receptacle
A system for the delivery and secure receipt of packages from unmanned vehicles to improve security and protection of the packages upon delivery. A UAV receptacle provides a water-protected interior to protect a package. The UAV receptacle includes a door in one side that allows a reception tray to extend out and back in, and which locks to protect the package so received. The UAV receptacle detects a drone in proximity. Upon confirming that delivery is for the UAV receptacle, the reception tray extends to a reception position. A sensor detects the package on the reception tray upon delivery from the drone. The reception tray is of a mesh material to reduce water retention. The UAV receptacle retracts the reception tray and closes a door to seal the package within the UAV receptacle. The UAV receptacle may notify user devices that the package has been received.

Apparatus for receiving mail
An apparatus for receiving mail with a body having a main inner cavity for containing a mail item, a movable closing element for allowing or preventing access to the main inner cavity, a through opening for allowing the insertion of the mail item inside the main inner cavity, and a locking device electronically actuated with a first user interface element for allowing the input of a signal for locking and/or unlocking. The first user interface element can be accessed from outside the apparatus for receiving mail. An electric power supply is for supplying the locking device and the respective user interface element, respectively. Emergency opening equipment has a second user interface element, with connecting means for the locking device, and an unlocking device configured for unlocking the locking device by way of the connecting means, in case of malfunction of said locking device and/or of the first user interface element.
Revolving cluster mailbox and central package delivery system
Present embodiments relate to a revolving mailbox cluster and central package delivery system. More specifically, without limitation, present embodiments relate to a revolving mailbox cluster that includes: substantially circular layers stacked vertically, where a second layer sits atop a first layer, and wherein each substantially circular layers includes: vertically opposed bottom top plates, divider plates perpendicular to the bottom and top plates, and a center ring, where the bottom and top plates, dividers, and center ring define individual mailbox units, each of which has an opening disposed opposite the center ring; a first motor for moving the substantially circular layers vertically; and a second motor for rotating the substantially circular layers.
Mailbox security kit
A security access control insert is provided for installation in curbside mailboxes. The security access control insert prevents tampering or theft of delivered mail. The security access control insert may be sold as part of a mailbox, or as a retrofit kit that may be added to a previously installed mailbox. The security access control insert provides a lockable door with a specific supplied access key. A second access key provided to an authorized mail carrier agency or delivery service may be a master key or passkey that is able to open many different customer mailboxes equipped with the security access control insert. The security access control insert may be formed of sheet-metal construction, aluminum, galvanized steel, or may be formed from molded plastic or composite materials. The security access control insert has a shape that matches the interior cross-section of the mailbox to which the insert will be installed.
Reconfigurable lighted mailbox post
A reconfigurable lighted post (e.g., mailbox), including a post, and first and second dual channel members attached to the post. The dual channel members include dual channels, where the first channel of each houses a strip of LEDs, and the second channel defines a channel into which an insert to be back or trans-illuminated can be inserted. Both dual channel members are attached to the post so that the first channels housing the strips of LEDs are positioned towards the post, while the second channels are positioned away from the post. The insert to be illuminated is receivable between the second channels (i.e., that face one another). The insert may include a house address number, or other characters cut-out or otherwise formed into the insert, so that light from the LED strips back or trans-illuminates the insert when received between the facing second channels. Deck rail lighting is also disclosed.
Eco friendly mailbox
An ecologically sound and environmentally friendly mailbox apparatus comprising a traditional mailbox; a shredding device affixed to the underside of the mailbox; a hollow tube, having a first end and a second end; a hollow receptacle for collecting shredded material, and that is connected to the shredding device by way of the hollow tube, where the first end of the hollow tube is connected to the shredding device and the second end of the hollow tube is directed downward and is connected to the receptacle; and a vertically positioned pole located adjacent to the mailbox and the receptacle, whereby the mailbox and the receptacle are individually connected to the pole by a fastening means that holds the entire apparatus together. This apparatus allows an end user to shred junk mail before leaving his mailbox and prevent clutter in his home.
Mailbox shield
A mailbox shield that includes first and second panels connected to one another forming an angle therebetween. The first and second panels are held in place by a plurality of wires therebetween and a post that is adjustable in height and is adapted to be inserted into a ground surface adjacent to a mailbox and is designed to deflect snow and ice being thrown or piled upon the mailbox by a passing snow plow.
Remote-controlled mailbox
A remote-controlled mailbox is provided. The device includes a mailbox housing having an open front end and a front door pivotally affixed thereto, wherein the front door selectively closes the front end. A post is affixed to a base of the mailbox housing. A frame is affixed to a lower end of the post, wherein the frame movably engages a track. Upon actuation of a motor of a mechanical drive system, the frame moves along the track, thereby moving the post and mailbox housing in kind. A remote device includes a plurality of controls thereon, wherein the plurality of controls is operably connected to the motor. Upon actuation of the plurality of controls, the mechanical drive system selectively moves the frame along the track.
Theft proof storage container
