According to one example, an underground container system includes a container fixedly positioned underground and anchored to a concrete structure that is also fixedly positioned underground. The container includes a bottom, one or more sidewalls coupled to and extending upward from the bottom to form an internal chamber of the container, a lid coupled to at least one of the sidewalls, and an electronic lock configured to lock and unlock the lid. The internal chamber is configured to receive and hold one or more articles of mail and/or one or more packages. The lid is configured to move to an open position and to a closed position. The lid includes an exterior surface that is positioned at a height that is at least substantially flush with a ground surface when the lid is in the closed position. The concrete structure covers an exterior surface of the bottom of the container and further covers at least a portion of an exterior surface of each of the one or more sidewalls.

A porch piracy parcel theft prevention system and method includes a delivery location apparatus configured for adaption to a building to receive a parcel, the delivery location apparatus including a sensor and a parcel locking mechanism. The sensor is configured to detect the presence of a delivered parcel placed into the line of sight of the parcel detecting sensor. The parcel locking mechanism is armed upon entry of a carrier code and disarmed upon entry of a user code. When armed, the parcel locking mechanism is configured to trigger an alarm when the parcel detected locking mechanism detects removal of the parcel from the line of sight of the parcel detecting sensor. When disarmed, the package may be removed from the line of sight of the parcel detecting sensor without tripping the alarm. Among other uses, helps prevent parcel theft from single family dwellings.

An apparatus for receiving mail with a body having a main inner cavity for containing a mail item, a movable closing element for allowing or preventing access to the main inner cavity, a through opening for allowing the insertion of the mail item inside the main inner cavity, and a locking device electronically actuated with a first user interface element for allowing the input of a signal for locking and/or unlocking. The first user interface element can be accessed from outside the apparatus for receiving mail. An electric power supply is for supplying the locking device and the respective user interface element, respectively. Emergency opening equipment has a second user interface element, with connecting means for the locking device, and an unlocking device configured for unlocking the locking device by way of the connecting means, in case of malfunction of said locking device and/or of the first user interface element.

A parcel storage box (10) comprises a base (12), a side wall (14) and a roof (16) joined to form a box (18) and a parapet (28) provided on an upper surface of the roof (16), the parapet (28) enclosing a volume for planting plants. An opening (20) is provided in the side wall (14) and a door (22) is hinged to the side wall (14) to close the opening (20). A lock (24) is provided for locking the door (22). The landing pad can also have a transmitter that emits sounds to discourage animals from nesting on or near the landing pad. The landing pad can also include a solar power generator as a source of electrical energy.

Present embodiments relate to a revolving mailbox cluster and central package delivery system. More specifically, without limitation, present embodiments relate to a revolving mailbox cluster that includes: substantially circular layers stacked vertically, where a second layer sits atop a first layer, and wherein each substantially circular layers includes: vertically opposed bottom top plates, divider plates perpendicular to the bottom and top plates, and a center ring, where the bottom and top plates, dividers, and center ring define individual mailbox units, each of which has an opening disposed opposite the center ring; a first motor for moving the substantially circular layers vertically; and a second motor for rotating the substantially circular layers.

A package delivery system for an automated delivery management of one or more packages is provided. The package delivery system may include a package locker unit and a control network. The package locker unit includes at least one adjustable access point, at least one pallet tower and at least one adjustable door assembly slidably. The at least one pallet tower includes a plurality of adjustable racks. The adjustable door assembly slidably coupled to the at least one pallet tower and defines an adjustable access point to access the package from the respective pallet of the respective rack. The control network is configured to facilitate customized automatic operation of the at least one adjustable door assembly while loading and delivery of the one or more packages.

The invention relates to a system (100) and a method (200, 300) for distributing parcels, comprising: at least one locker (110) for receiving parcels, including: a first processor (115) for controlling the locking/unlocking of an access door (111) according to a control signal, at least one portable electronic device (120) including: a second processor (124) for generating the control signal, the control signal comprising at least one opening code associated with a parcel previously ordered from a commercial site by the user,
wherein the first processor (115) is further configured to: unlock an access door (111) when the user places the portable electronic device (120) close to the parcel receiving locker (110) such that a first short-range wireless transceiver (114) and a second short-range wireless transceiver (123) interface so as to form a short-range local area network (10), and prevent subsequent unlocking of the access door (111) with previously used opening codes.
