A package lockbox apparatus for safely receiving packages includes a box body and a lid hingingly coupled to the box body. A housing is coupled to a lid bottom side of the lid. A microprocessor is coupled within the housing. A battery, a display, a camera, and a lock are coupled to the lid and are in operational communication with the microprocessor. A catch is coupled to the box body. The catch is coupled to the box front side adjacent the box top side and within the box inside. The catch is selectively engageable with the lock.

A mailbox comprises a box body with a door having a lock, a mailbox unlocking code input device for inputting an unlocking code to unlock the mailbox, a communication module for communicating with a remote management terminal, a storage at the mailbox or the remote management terminal for storing one or more preset mailbox unlocking codes, and a processor at the mailbox or the remote management terminal for identifying whether the input mailbox unlocking code matches the one or more preset mailbox unlocking codes, and issuing a mailbox unlocking instruction if matching. The processor comprises a mailbox unlocking code management circuit used to invalidate the matched mailbox unlocking code after the mailbox is unlocked, generate a new mailbox unlocking code when no valid mailbox unlocking code is currently available, and store the new mailbox unlocking code in the storage. The mailbox can safely, conveniently and automatically receive and/or send mail.

A self-locking parcel delivery apparatus and method includes a tamper-resistant compartment beneath a lid of a porch bench seat and insulated for protecting delivered parcels. The apparatus includes a lid that is held open magnetically until proactively released to close and lock (such as by a delivery person) or by a remote user via a primary software application running on a mobile communications device. The apparatus may be operated in conjunction or cooperation with a supplemental software application associated with a video motion detection system so that a remote user can authenticate a supposed delivery person and then, using another software app, activate a remote delivery container to be made ready to receive a delivered parcel.

A landing pad receives and stores packages delivered from an aerial vehicle and awaiting pickup from an aerial vehicle. The landing pad can be placed outside of a window and can contain a transmitter for sending out an identification signal via radio frequency to aid aerial vehicles in finding the landing pad. The landing pad contains a landing platform with a trapdoor that leads to a storage compartment. The trapdoor can be configured to only open when it receives a signal from an authorized aerial vehicle. The storage compartment can be accessed via a storage compartment door which can contain a locking mechanism. The storage compartment can be climate controlled. The landing pad can also have a transmitter that emits sounds to discourage animals from nesting on or near the landing pad. The landing pad can also include a solar power generator as a source of electrical energy.

A commodity deposit device includes delivery box sets, and a control panel configured to control the plurality of delivery box sets, wherein each of the plurality of delivery box sets includes a plurality of delivery boxes stacked, the control panel includes a controller configured to control opening and closing of the plurality of delivery boxes, and a display configured to output storage status information of the plurality of delivery boxes, and each of the plurality of delivery boxes includes a cabinet with a storeroom defined therein, a door rotatably connected to the cabinet and configured to open and close the storeroom, a commodity information recognizer installed at one side of an inside of the storeroom and configured to recognize an encryption code indicated on a commodity received into the storeroom, and a door lock configured to lock or unlock the door in response to a command transmitted from the controller.

The disinfection chamber may use disinfecting light or ozonated air or both.

A remotely managed lockable storage container includes a lid, an electronically controlled lock, an internal temperature sensor; an electronic communication module comprising a processor, a communication interface, a camera system, an interior motion detector; a computer memory containing machine instructions, that when executed by the processor, cause the processor to transmit a container interior temperature reading and a lock status to a remote computing device via the communication interface.
